Lindsay Lohan Replacing Anna Faris in Linda Lovelace Biopic

Not to be confused with another Linda Lovelace biopic announced in January, this one, titled Inferno, has been in the works for awhile now and initially had comedy actress Anna Faris attached for what could have been a huge career defining, though risky, undertaking. However, LA Times' 24 Frames is reporting that Lindsay Lohan has replaced Faris and Bill Pullman will play Hugh Hefner in the biopic focusing on Linda Lovelace that chronicles her progression from Catholic child to infamous pornstar to an anti-porn advocate. I'm not sure this is the best move for Lohan, who can't seem to find any decent work anymore.
After all of her alcohol fueled antics and recent obsession with posing for sexually provocative photography sessions, you'd think she'd want to get back on the other side of the tracks, especially since her last foray as a stripper in I Know Who Killed Me only yielded "praise" from The Razzies. However, producer Wali Razaqi is confident in her talent and claims that he isn't put off by her seemingly wild behavior:
"We've all thought that Lindsay would be a great choice for a while now, and we're all convinced that she is going to do it. I would say it's probably one of the most challenging roles any actor could play -- and not because of the sexual content, necessarily -- but more because she was so battered and beat up emotionally, that I think it's gonna take everything Lindsay has to really be able to pull it off. Not that Lindsay's life is similar in any way -- but she's been through a lot of ups and downs. A lot of times you're loved and then you're hated, and I think she can relate to those emotions and feelings. If her behavior were a serious concern, I don't think we would have been going after her the way we did."
Nice backtracking on Razaqi's part to make sure you're not saying Lohan would be great as Lovelace because of their similar emotional battles. After all, there are probably quite a few differences between the abusive lifestyle Lovelace led, both physically and emotionally after gaining infamy by starring in what might be the most well-known porno in the world: Deep Throat, as opposed to Lohan who has simply been dealing with plenty of publicized family issues, not to mention coming to terms with the tempting gluttonous lifestyle that comes with being a young starlet.
Of course, this news isn't official because it comes only from this producer, and the way he talks, it doesn't sound like it's a done deal. There's a chance this could be a chance for Lohan to get her career back, but if she really wants it, she has to find something soon. Anybody want Lindsay Lohan back in movies?

hmm...Lohan has a lot of haters mostly deserved, but I'm not among those people, I'm mostly indefferent when it comes to her. Maybe this could be her chance to fix her reputation and show people that she can act.

A slut playing a slut. Perfect casting.

But there is one question I find myself asking...do we actually care for a Linda Lovelace biopic? People only watched her for one reason...well see I guess.

Directors and CDs talk among themselves you know, divas and other people hard to work with generally find their prospects dimming quickly. Guess what happened, now she can't find a job!

I have to agree with Xerxex. Is there a market for a Linda Lovelace biopic? Of course, if Lindsay is the star, I'm not sure if it will ever get finished anyways, so we may never find out. 🙂 Personally, I'm not interested in the movie, and think Lindsay is fine for it. 🙂

Lindsay Lohan is an fuckup, but I can't really blame her. The Linda Lovelace story is a pretty tragic and brutal story, will there be a market for the story? Of course there will, people enjoy other peoples misery. For Lohan gagging on a penis is probably the only thing she hasn't been recorded doing so she was probably wanting to cross that one off the list.

I hope she really turns it out to something great. She's had some hard times, lets hope she channels those life lessons into some great acting. That AND Machete - lets hope these next few years are a transition for her. Look at RDJ, he was knee deep in drugs/legal trouble, and he's transformed himself into an A-list, blockbuster actor.

Anna Faris is so unbelievably dull I'm amazed she's being considered for anything more than being an extra.

I can't believe that Bill Pullman accepted such a role?????? I bet he is longing to see naked women and imagine himself the real "hugh Heifner"...well, congrats Mr. Pullman....your roles are getting from bad to worse....

Lindsay Lohan is a marvelous actor from her beloved roles in the Parent Trap, the Love Bug, (I might have the titles wrong), Mean Girls and others. Many great performers have also been known to acquire bad habits, but her performances are outstanding. If I were her manager, I would never allow her to walk around as a blonde. She has the most gorgeous natural hair on the planet which matches perfectly with her skin tone. The unnatural blondeness really washes out her features and drains away 50% of her beauty. Her natural beauty as a redhead or brunette matches her skill level as an actor. Those who downplayed her in the past were the type who sought fame for themselves, but had to settle for the TV time acquired from hanging out at the entrances to nightclubs. When Lindsay starting hanging with that wannabe crowd, her career took a tailspin. With continued hard work and the right people, she is certainly beautiful and talented enough to resurrect her career back as a major box office draw...she still is in my book.
