Yesterday, we were pretty sure the easily recognizable voice of Michael Caine was heard in the full teaser trailer for Pixar's forthcoming sequel Cars 2. Today Empire has confirmed that Caine is indeed voicing the spy car Finn McMissile. In addition, more cast members have been revealed. Joining returning voice talents like Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy will be Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy from Harry Potter), Emily Mortimer (Harry Brown), Joe Mantegna ("Criminal Minds"), Peter Jacobson ("House") and Thomas Kretschmann (King Kong). Below you'll find some brief details on the characters they'll be voicing.
Mortimer will be voicing a spy car in-training named Holley Shiftwell (I like the subtle James Bond-esque, sexual innuendo) while Isaacs will play a spy jet (likely the one from the first promotional image) named Siddeley. Meanwhile, Mantegna is playing Grem, Jacobson is voicing Acer and Kretschmann will be Professor Z, but details on those characters are sparse aside from pictures of all of them which SlashFilm has posted. As always Pixar gets together some great vocal talents regardless of their star power. While Cars may not be my favorite of Pixar's films, surely their sequel will be better than most of the animated family fare out there. Like the new cast additions?

Mortimer was alright in Harry Brown. She has a sexy voice and that fits perfectly. You're so right with "As always Pixar gets together some great vocal talents regardless of their star power." Larry the cable guy got a lot of fans from his voicing in the first one and he is awesome. That's Pixar man!!! đŸ™‚
