Solitary Man Trailer

Anchor Bay Films has finally premiered the trailer for David Levien & Brian Koppelman's Solitary Man starring Michael Douglas, Jesse Eisenberg, Jenna Fischer, Susan Sarandon, Mary-Louise Parker and Danny DeVito. Although this play at a few festivals already, I never had the chance to see it. And we've seen promo trailer before, but this is the official trailer for the film, which arrives in limited theaters in May. I'm actually very impressed - this looks surprisingly good. I think it looks like a charming, fun, smart pick-me-up indie flick and I'd like to see it. Plus it's got a great cast and that makes it an easy sell. Anyway, watch it below.

Watch the trailer for David Levien & Brian Koppelman's Solitary Man:

A car magnate (Douglas) watches his life hit the skids because of his business and romantic indiscretions.

Solitary Man is co-directed by former music agent Brian Koppelman and writer/producer David Levien. The screenplay was also written by Koppelman, who directed Knockaround Guys in 2001 and is also credited for co-writing Rounders, Runaway Jury, Ocean's Thirteen and The Girlfriend Experience. This first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival late last year and was eventually picked up by Anchor Bay Films for US distribution. Solitary Man will officially arrive in limited theaters starting on May 7th this summer.

What's going on? Is Mickey D a sex addict again in this film? Looks okay, maybe I'll watch it again when the glue wears off.

Love indie films like this - not all of them make it over to the UK so will have to keep an eye out for it. And, Danny DeVito and Michael Douglas on screen again. Bonus.

I love Douglas and this is sure to be another good one from him.

This looks like a terrible Neil Diamond biopic.

So...Douglas has worked with Lebouf and Eisenberg...when's he gonna do something with Cera?

Did the voice-over at the beginning of the trailer remind anyone of (500) Days of Summer?

Bryan on Apr 4, 2010

Yes #10! That was my first thought. Nice.

Close enough. Eisenberg is the better acting less annoying version of Cera.

This looks good but not sure how I will be able to empathise with a guy who has everything and fucks it up, and still keeps getting more...and fucking it up.

Imogen Poots....will see it for her alone

Anyone know the name of the song that starts to play half way through the trailer until the end?
