Must Watch: Full Theatrical Trailer for Chris Nolan's Inception
by Alex Billington
May 7, 2010
Source: Mind Crime
Warner Bros debuted the full-length theatrical trailer (and probably last one we'll see) for Chris Nolan's Inception last night in front of Iron Man 2. Although I'd seen footage at WonderCon and ShoWest, this is something even I had seen, and it's beautiful. There aren't many words to describe how incredibly epic and amazing this looks, but beautiful and stunning and mesmerizing are a few that fit best. While we wait until December for Tron Legacy, Inception has become my most anticipated movie this summer. This just looks so phenomenal. I'm not afraid of calling Nolan the closest director to Kubrick and Hitchcock we have today.
Watch the full theatrical trailer for Christopher Nolan's Inception:
This trailer officially comes within the Mind Crime viral game located at: mind-crime.com
If you haven't seen them, watch the first teaser trailer and second teaser trailer for Inception at those links. A thriller set within the architecture of the mind about a CEO who is involved in a blackmailing scandal.
Inception is both written and directed by acclaimed Oscar nominated British filmmaker Christopher Nolan, of Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Prestige and The Dark Knight. Nolan previously co-wrote the scripts for Memento, Batman Begins, The Prestige, and The Dark Knight with his brother Jonathan Nolan. Warner Bros is bringing Inception to theaters starting on July 16th this summer. See you all in theaters!

I watched it again, hence another comment. The manipulation of the suspended bodies. The line at the end, "We mustin be afraid to dream a little bigger darling." ummm I really can't wait to dive into the story.

HOLY MIND FOOK THAT WAS EPIC AZZ SHITE!!! Excuse my language. Nolan keeps on outdoing himself with each movie. Inception looks grand I can only imagine what Batman 3 will look like. Poor Favreau... Always gets stomped on by the kickassness of Nolan hahaha The Dark Knight > Iron-Man Inception > Iron-Man 2

When I watched the first two trailers, I didn't like it. I told myself, the only reason I would watch it was because of Ellen Page. That's it. ...BUT, after seeing "this" trailer, and finding out more about it, I really like it. Surreal, yet intriguing. Makes you want more, just to find out what happens. Which is what it's suppose to do. 😉

I like your comparison of Nolan to Hitchcock, Alex. I'm a huge fan of both directors, and I've been thinking of the similarities between them myself. Both British masters of suspense, both repeatedly snubbed by the Oscar committee, and both delivering classic after classis. One big difference: Nolan hasn't made a subpar movie yet! Eventhough Hitchcock is a legendary directors, not all of his movies were great. The legacy he left is amazing though: North by Northwest, Vertigo, Psycho, Rear Window, etc etc etc... However, if you look at Nolan;s body of work so far, it is ridiculously impressive as well: Following, Memento, Insomnia (his only movie that was just really good and not plain awesome), Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Dark Knight... And just when you think he could never make anything as good as The Dark Knight again, along comes Inception. Can't wait.

Looks pretty good. Personally thought the first trailer was cooler, but at least this one helps with the mental confusion. But like most people who overload these discussions with caps lock and devotion... many will be let down. Don't get me wrong, this movie looks like it will be a fantastic piece of cinema, lol... but I can just see how it will play out for many.

I just watched Iron Man 2 tonight and when this trailer came on I was completely on the edge of my seat. It looks amazing and just can't wait to see it. The cast is fucking incredible and the story looks amazing a film and story I've always been very curious about and wanted to see made into film the right way. I honestly believe this will be the film of the year. Oh and Tron Legacy looks insane too. Both trailers were the best I've seen in such a long time. Probably my favorites ever. Two people mentioned the movie Paprika, I honestly never saw it but after hearing such great things about it and that it is similar. I'll check it out. Thanks for the info and reccomendation. Nolan is hands down the most productive director of our life time, Spielberg is Spielberg but even he has movies that are questionable sometimes. Nolan i dont think has made a bad movie, not all were huge blockbuster hits but they were/are amazing, he doesnt mind pushing the limits on the "WTF" factor (Memento, The Prestige) but does it so great. I agree that Inception and Tron will take over this year. i'd also like to point out that this is one of very few trailers on here with this many responses where EVERYONE! has nothing negative to say, that has to say something.

The quote for me is when DiCaprio is talking to Page and says "Dreams feel real while we're in them. It's only when we wake up that we realize that something was actually strange." July 16th cannot come any sooner.

Inception will be the summer movie to beat this year without a doubt. And i just have to say, I love Leo as an actor, and Cillian and Ken and Cotillard, and Page and Caine and Tom Brady (especially in Bronson) but i think its not only safe but VITAL to say that Joseph-Gordon Levitt is the GREATEST ACTOR of OUR GENERATION! AWESOME trailer 🙂 July is definately THE month for movies this year... with Airbender, Predators, and then possibly the greatest movie of the year, INCEPTION to round out the last of the Summer movies that i will watch, it'll be a good one to end it with... it really is not that good of a year for movies as far as quantity, but Inception and Tron's quality alone make up for the lack of quantity. Hans Zimmer is my absolute favorite contemporary composer... he simply CANNOT write a dissapointing piece of music.. Lion King, The Rock, Dark Knight, Last Samurai, Pearl Harbor, Gladiator, Transformers, Rain Man, Crimson Tide, Sherlock Holmes, Black Hawk Down..ALLL outstanding musical scores.. He's written over 100 pieces..a truly talented writer and musician (he actually plays the synthesizers for many of his pieces)

The music to the new Inception trailer is actually not Hans Zimmer, it was custom written by a trailer music company called Pusher. Love Hans (and I can't wait to hear his score for this film) - but this piece of music definitely stands on its own. Can't wait til July 16!

this is zimmers music, lot of people on lot of sites naming different composers. listen to other zimmer score, specifically dark knight and its clear he composed it. also if you look back at past nolan trailers he always uses the film score in the trailer. so far i've heard 4 different people claiming to have composed the music..people stop taking credit for other peoples work.

112
@112 As much as I would like for him to bring back the Joker and give JGL a shot, I also dont at all, it could be a total film wrecker for Batman 3. Nolan will bring another coupla villains leave the Joker in Arkham where he belongs. I would however love to see a quick Cameo of JGL as the Joker, maybe he could be the only person that could point Batman in the right direction....with an intense brief dialogue between the 2.
Cody w on May 13, 2010

@111 I think the first 2 trailers had zimmer's score and this 3rd trailer is another composer's take on that score, go back and listen to the first 2 trailers, different score by zimmer or someone else, because this 3rd trailer has a completely different sound to it but same basic concept and melodies
