It was announced by Edgar Wright on his Twitter a few days ago that once the Facebook fan page for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World reached 100,000 fans, they would release the trailer. Well, it took a little long than they would've liked, but its now crossed 100k and the trailer is now available. As totally frickin' awesome as that first teaser trailer was, this one is even better. This looks just so damn fun, so awesome, so much like a comic book come to life, in the best of ways. Even the music in this trailer is totally badass. And damn does Mary Elizabeth Winstead look sexy as hell! I really hope this is the big breakout hit of the summer. Enjoy!

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is directed by brilliant British filmmaker Edgar Wright, of cult classics Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz previously. The screenplay was written by Edgar Wright and actor Michael Bacall and is based on the Oni Press comic book series of the same name. The story follows a Canadian boy named Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) who must defeat his new girlfriend's (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) seven evil exes in order to win her heart. We've been following this since it was announced and as a fan of the comic books, I'm very excited. Universal is bringing Scott Pilgrim vs. the World to theaters everywhere on August 13th!

I saw this movie last week its insane crazy fun and really catches you off guard with whats going to happen next! and Mary is soo hot in this movie its insane!

Well, as awesome as this trailer looks like (and i like it alot!), there's something that bothers me: - in the comics, scott pilgrim is full of win and champion stuff - in the trailer (movie?), scott looks like a wuss, but maybe the character will evolve along the movie. I'm calling this right now: "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" is going to change the way we watch comic book movies FOREVER! Edgar Wright is a freaking genius, the comics from Bryan Lee O'Malley are absolute gold, and this movie is going to be the perfect melding of the two!

@6 i totally agree. i won't say one way or the other until i see the actual film, but at first thought, Cera didn't seem like the best choice to me, but i still like him as an actor. when i read the comic, i see Scott as loud and kind of annoying, not soft-spoken and friendly. Anyways, i still think it will be awesome. Dare i say it could be the best comic book adaptation ever next to DK (i love Scott Pilgrim).

honestly.....i was really pumped after watching the first trailer.....this one doesn't do much for me. kind of makes me less excited and makes the film look a little cheesier and less cool. i love edgar wright though so I hope it's still good.

This looks so amazing! I cannot wait any longer. Perfect look, feel, and perfectly casted. Yes I think Michael Cera is the perfect choice. Scott is kind of a goofy loser in the books that just so happens to be a great fighter so this works for me and should for any fan of the books.

Nice use of Eddie Money's "Baby Hold On" in the beginning. Cera is miscast and this movie looks like "Speed Racer" for hipsters. This film will get rave reviews from Aint It Cool, CHUD, and other fanboy sites because they were invited to a special screening with Edgar Wright and the cast. It will bomb at the box office and gain a cult following on DVD. And also all the johnny come lately's will say "Oh look! They made a comic book based off the movie!"

It seems like Michael Cera is actually doing this roll justice with transitioning from the nerdy non-cofident guy to "Scott Pilgrim" like status. 🙂 I have such high hopes for this film.

Saw this last week at a preview screening in burbank. Went in not knowing what to expect but i came out pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed it. There were a couple of scenes where i thought to myself that they could have cut out but overall the movie was great! Can't wait to see the finished product
