Natalie Portman Takes Raunchy Sex Comedy 'BYO' to the Studios

First she's kissing beautiful ladies like Mila Kunis is Darren Aronofsky's, beautiful, dark and twisted Black Swan, then she's taking a page out of Judd Apatow's comedy book. 24 Frames reports Natalie Portman has been shopping around a raunchy sex comedy call BYO (as in Bring Your Own) which she wrote with college friend Laura Moses. The screenplay follows two very different twenty-something women who, after finding themselves unlucky in love, decide to throw a party to which each female attendee brings an eligible bachelor. It's apparently described as Superbad, but with two leading ladies having sexual misadventures.
Somehow I think Natalie Portman, who is also attached to star in and produce the film, and Anne Hathaway, who has apparently expressed interest in the second female lead, would have fewer problems getting laid than Michael Cera and Jonah Hill. Several studios have passed on the project though (maybe the script isn't all that great?), but it could just as easily find a home on the independent market. This would be Portman's debut as a screenwriter, but it's not as if she needs the job (or the money for that matter). Maybe execs aren't interested in Portman taking on another sex comedy so soon after No Strings Attached. What do you think?

Hey Ethan, Natalie Portman is not in Friends with Benefits. She is in No Strings Attached, which seems essentially almost like the same movie. Too easy to mix them up...
