Adèle Blanc-Sec Trailer

We're one of the few sites that has been consistently featuring the teasers and photos for Les Aventures Extraordinaires d'Adèle Blanc-Sec, the French period action-adventure movie from Luc Besson. One reason is that I'm a big Luc Besson fan and love almost all of his work. The other reason is that this actually looks awesome, like a big budget Indiana Jones-style adventure with a female lead set in France, simple as that. Twitch (via SlashFilm) just discovered that the first full-length trailer has debuted online (via Yahoo France) and can be seen below. It's still in French (no subtitles), but it looks fantastic. Check it out below!

You can also watch the Adèle Blanc-Sec trailer in High Definition on Yahoo France

The story is about Adele Blanc-Sec (played by Louise Bourgoin), an "an intrepid young reporter" who will go to any lengths to achieve her aims, including sailing to Egypt to tackle mummies of all shapes and sizes. The odd thing is that IMDb calls this an animated movie "set in the early party of the 20th century and focused on a popular novelist and her dealings with would-be suitors, the cops, monsters, and other distractions." It's definitely not animated, though. She's fighting a pterodactyl in this because that's what she does in the comics this is based on. We're not sure when it's coming to the US, but we will be keeping our eye out for it!

I too love Luc Besson. This looks wild and cool. Louise Bourgoin is very sexy. Can't wait for it to make it's way State side. Thanks for showing this.

Interesting...not really sure what to think of it. Not to be immature but if you pause her in the bath you can totally see her tits. Wish there was some subs so I could tell what the hell is going on though.

I'll need to see a few more [good] trailers to convince me this will even be worth renting, let alone seeing in theaters.

Seems everyone picked up on the breasts, I think the French are maybe more liberal with that sort of thing. It looks a pretty mental film, reminds me a lot of Moebius or other BD comics which is no bad thing.

This dude said the Batman 3 viral that started yesterday was a fake and said there was no script...in reality I think his only source was me sending all the info to Slashfilm and them sending it to him... He has no basis except for opinion that it is fake....Chris Nolan said there was musing all the way back in 2008 for the 3rd film, which I take as a rough outline...recent reports claim Jonah is working on the script...you really think they would release a report and say he was just working on it?...the first draft is 100% finished and is being ironed out...villains chosen ect....42 ENT started the Viral bc there will be a announcement on April Fools just like in 2007....TDK Viral started on March 17th 2007...this viral started on March 16th 2010...the second TDK viral was 4/1/07...this years clues point to 4/1/10....and the postage was from the same city as all the TDK postages from their virals....I dont know what else you need...just wait till April Fools and well see whats fake and whats not...I'm betting we get a film name on that date.

Apparently, Adele is seeking for a mumy's knowledge in order to save her sister (that's for le Aegyptian part of the trailer). In the meantime, a pterodactyle is threatening Paris (that's for the Parisian part of the trailer). I can't tell if there is a link between these two plots. Adele Blanc-Sec is a famous comic character in France (and Tardi a famous comic author as well). It looks fantastic. I may be wrong but did you notice the reference to Tintin at the very beginning of the trailer, with the small broken-armed statuette on the floor?

That looks like a it will be well worth seeing, theres something about a French woman donning a moe, I am sure I have seen that on screen before.....hmm maybe it just looked odd and thats all.

Honk, Honk, This film looks intresting to say the least, I think it will only get limited veiwing unless they dub the film. It look is abit B movie type and the SFX look a bit cheap. But I do say myself that i like Luc Besson films I have Just watched District 13 which i enjoyed.
