Official Trailer for Joel Schumacher's 'Twelve' is Finally Online

It took quite a while but the official trailer for Joel Schumacher's new film Twelve has finally debuted via MTV. It's being distributed by the publisher of the book, Hannover House, so they're pulling for some big success. Twelve stars hottie convict Chace Crawford as a 17-year-old drug dealing kid in Manhattan who "watches as his high-rolling life is dismantled in the wake of his cousin's murder, which sees his best friend arrested for the crime." I saw this at Sundance and it was pretty mediocre, but I will tell you there is a crazy scene at the end that it's leading up to the whole time. So if you want to see it after this, then I say go for it.

Twelve was directed by infamous director Joel Schumacher, of films including The Incredible Shrinking Woman, St. Elmo's Fire, The Lost Boys, Flatliners, The Client, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, 8MM, Bad Company, Phone Booth, Phantom of the Opera and The Number 23. The screenplay was adapted by first time writer Jordan Melamed who also directed 2001's Manic. It's based on Nick McDonell's novel of the same that was written by McDonell when he was 17 years old. This first premiered at Sundance and is being distributed by book publisher Hannover House. Twelve hits limited theaters starting on July 30th.

So 50 Cent used to sell drugs. Than he rapped about selling drugs. Now in every movie he plays a drug dealer. There seems to be an underlying message here. Also, this movie looks like it's gonna suck the wang.

When it comes to crap MTV has it covered. Every few years or so they always come out with the teenage drug movie starring the current teen stars. In the 1980 it was Foxes with Jodie Foster, Less Than Zero with Robert Downet Jr., Go with Katie Holmes, some in between and this one. For Gods sakes Hollywood please come up with something different and PLEASE when and if you do, make the trailer reflect that. The only good thing this trailer did was made me take a moment to reflect on my decision to watch this trailer and not make the same mistake again.
