Sly Stallone is Already Thinking About An 'Expendables' Sequel?

Though the testosterone fueled action romp The Expendables isn't hitting theaters for a few more days, 24 Frames says the film's writer/director/star Sylvester Stallone has already been contemplating an idea for a sequel (but that's it). However, the legendary action star is not arrogantly assuming his movie will perform well enough at the box office to warrant a sequel, but he's just thinking ahead. Stallone said, "If this does perform, I think it will open a little more liquidity in funding the sequel." Maybe if it does well enough, Stallone could bring Danny Trejo into the mix after pulling the rug from under his feet the first time around.
As far as the story goes, it sounds like Stallone has something wild in mind, but he wasn't forthcoming with any details. He said: "I have an idea ready to go. People think doing a sequel is easy, but it's not because you need the element of surprise. I'm going to try to do something that's quite radical." Despite the muscular cast, Stallone had some difficulty getting funding, but like he said, if the sequel does well this weekend, then he shouldn't have too much trouble getting another one off the ground. The real question is, what will Sly do to top cameos from the likes of Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

He could actually have Willis and Schwarzenegger star in it, and replace Couture with Chuck Norris and add JCVD, Trejo, and the Rock...maybe even Vin Diesel...

@16 Also apparently JCVD denied the role because his role was not defined by Sly and sly said they would make gud bucks out of it. Not knowing what role he would play he jumped out. Perhaps he would have played Couture's role!!

I'm so looking forward to this flick! Contrary to what the critics say, I'm betting this flick WILL ROCK!! Having said that, IF there is a sequel, I sure hope Sly is able to rustle up Steven Seagal and Van Damme this time around! Other potential cast members well worth including are: Michael Dudikoff (American Ninja), Ken Wahl (from 80s TV show "Wiseguy"), Jack Scalia ( 80s TV show "Wolf", the senator from 2005's "Wes Craven's: Red Eye", and many B-flicks), Miles O' Keeffe (1981's "Tarzan the Ape Man" and many B-flicks, Thomas Ian Griffith from 1989's "Karate Kid Pt. 3" and many B-flicks, and Nick Mancuso (80s TV show "Stingray", 1992s "Rapid Fire" --opposite the late Brandon Lee).......So, let's hope this flick delivers the slam, bang, hardcore action that has been missing all summer long and blows up into a HUGE HIT! 🙂

For the record, Sly is a tough senior citizen(if he can be referred to as one) and he still can kick some serious ass. We should be so lucky if any of us look like that, let alone make it to that age, in the future!

Chuck Norris and Steven Segal should never be in movies again. Or if they are, make them a competing group of mercs that gets killed right out the gate! You all also forgot Jean Reno!

JCVD Chuck Norris Jackie Chan Michael Jai white(I would have said Wesley Snipes but he's in jail now) Scott Adkins(villian) Samuel L Jackson The Rock Marrese Crump(villian) Liam Neeson(villian) I don't know why but I really want to see a JCVD vs Statham fight.

They should get Jesus, if they could get him in that would be the best. Then even closeted gay christians could masturbate to the overblown pumped up macho love fest that is the Expendables. Plus Jesus can pull down buildings with his mad lazers coming out his fingers and he doesn't even need a gun.

ur an idiot retarded fuck. what the heck has to do your hate of God and Jesus with a movie ?! moron.
