TGB Episode 6: What Could Have Been (Guest: Justin Vactor)
by Tim Buel
April 14, 2010
On this week's episode of The Golden Briefcase, Tim & Jeremy are joined by Justin Vactor of Entertainment Overload, Geekland and the Gotham Podcast to discuss their Picks of the Week, the newest DVD/Blu-Ray releases, trailers for The Other Guys, Holy Rollers and Dinner for Schmucks. They also talk about Jeremy's nostalgia for Popeye (from 1980), discuss Joss Whedon directing The Avengers and much more! The main topic of the night was adaptations (in honor of Kick-Ass, opening this Friday) - they each picked stories in various forms of media that they would like to see adapted into a movie, including the director and actors.
The Golden Briefcase is also broadcast LIVE on Tuesday nights starting at 6:30PM (PST). You can listen in via our Ustream page or by visiting our own live page right here on FS. The podcast is just as fun to listen to live while it's being recorded, with plenty of special guests, so I suggest you tune in the next time it records!

I really like the anti-trailer rant. I have to say I completely agree with you and more and more I am beginning to watch fewer and fewer trailers. Or at least watch it just once...then forget about it until it hits theaters. Also, just a small note on your Netflix sequence, they just started sending out Instant discs so that you can use that feature on your Wii...it's pretty sweet. I have a Roku but the Wii makes Instant Streaming so much cooler!
