Will Ferrell & Mark Wahlberg on 'The Other Guys' Motion Poster

One little technical advancement I do enjoy seeing in Hollywood is the motion poster, basically a poster in a digital display that has some scene or interactive portion of it. Here's an example of great motion poster for the upcoming comedy The Other Guys starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Unlike in Cop Out, these two guys are a mismatched pair of cops, yet to me they seem like the perfect pair for the big screen. I know this is only about a ten second little clip, but I think this looks hilarious, I'm very excited for it now. There's also a new Tron Legacy motion poster you can see over on Collider. Definitely check this out in full below.
The Other Guys is an action comedy directed by Adam McKay (of Anchorman, Talladega Nights) who also wrote the script with Chris Henchy (Land of the Lost) following the seemingly mismatched pairing of Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg as police officers who can't see to measure up to the legendary law enforcement status achieved by the police department's two all-star cops, played by Sam Jackson and Dwayne Johnson. This looks awesome so far and I can't wait to see an actual trailer for it, which I imagine will be arriving soon following this poster debut. Sony is bringing The Other Guys to theaters on August 6th this summer.

Don't know that I've ever seen a Mark Whalberg movie I've liked him in. Maybe Three Kings? Planet of the Apes? Anyway Adam McKay and Will Ferrell is enough to lure me into seeing it.

I already laughed more at this poster than I did at the entirety of Cop Out. And I usually hate Will Ferrell. This wins.

Weren't these guys cast in Cop Out early on? So they leave that project and get their own version going. Interesting.

Looks good. But I just read the end part of this entry saying that the cops they can't measure up to are being played by Sam Jackson and Dwayne Johnson... I want to see THAT movie.

Wahlberg HAS done a comedy - he was in David O. Russell's I Heart Huckabees back in '04. Plenty of people think its a pretentious little movie, and they may have something there, but Wahlberg is freaking hilarious in it as a borderline psychotic firefighter obsessed with "the worldwide petroleum crisis." If he gets any of that manic energy out onscreen with Ferrell in this movie, it could be really, really funny.

Just what we need. More autoplay ad's that don't have volume control, a stop or pause button, and continuously repeat.

No idea what this site is. And frankly I don't give a damn. But here's a pro-tip, have your Flash related shit that comes through the RSS feed not set to autoplay. It's incredibly annoying using the Explore option in Google Reader to have random music simply start playing. It's crap like this that drives people like me to use Flashblock. It's just a small thing to ask. Say NO to autoplay!
