The Sorcerer's Apprentice Trailer

There's probably going to be some confusion about if this actually the third trailer, but counting the teaser and theatrical trailer, this is indeed the third trailer from Disney for The Sorcerer's Apprentice starring Nic Cage, Jay Baruchel, Monica Bellucci, Alfred Molina, Teresa Palmer and Toby Kebbell. It comes from the official website (but we found it on YouTube) and is pretty much the same as we've seen before but with a bit of new footage, some glimpses of "The Sorceress", as played by Monica Bellucci, and more slapstick comedy (for better or worse). I'm personally still pretty excited to see this, it just looks so damn fun. Watch & enjoy!

Master sorcerer Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) recruits a seemingly everyday guy (Jay Baruchel) in his mission to defend New York City from his evil arch-nemesis - sorcerer Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina).

The Sorcerer's Apprentice is directed by veteran filmmaker Jon Turteltaub, who also directed 3 Ninjas, Cool Runnings, The Kid and both National Treasure movies previously. The screenplay was co-written by Carlo Bernard (The Uninvited) and Matt Lopez (Bedtime Stories). This is based on the story that first appeared in Disney's Fantasia in 1940. The Sorcerer's Apprentice will hit theaters nationwide on July 14th next month.

I don't know what is less believable -- Baruchel becoming a powerful sorcerer, or Baruchel hooking up with that smoking hot blonde ...

Baruchel needs to go away. I'll still see this, though.

I still think the coolest part of this is Depeche Mode. Its about time they got some feature film time.

#3, That role you speak of for Cage just happened in Kick Ass! He was so great in that!

@#7 Yes!, no kidding! 🙂 . It's gonna be a big hit in the box office, Nic Cage plus Live action/special effect Disney movie equals a hit in the theaters! 😉 .

If this beats Inception at the box office that weekend I won't know what to do.

Cage is simply in-watchable. Baruchel is a young Cage....can't act and has no presense. Fore ground takes over the "actors". Just terrible. Huge passsssssssssss!!!!!!!!

@16- While I respect the fact that this is America and as such you are entitled to your own opinion about things, I seriously have to question your logic here. Have you seen any Cage or Baruchel movie? Both act like ordinary people would in the position that the role places them in. As a result, it looks less like mere stage presence and becomes realistic. Both actors are realistic actors. Frankly, I'd like to see YOU try to do better. You probably can't. As for the trailer itself, I can't wait for this movie. Good action, Supernatural threat, some comic relief; I just hope we didn't see all the good parts in the trailer. But, then again, it's Disney. They tend to have good movies all around, and Jerry Brucheimmer is an extremely talented director. Not to mention Cage's Star Power. So far, he MAKES this movie for me. I'm leaning towards it being one of the higher grossing movies this summer.
