Watch: Adam Wingard's 'A Horrible Way to Die' Official Trailer
Embark on a trip into a quiet, paranoid world where ugly things happen behind closed doors and down desolate country roads. More horror for you to feast on today? Definitely! There's not many other trailers out there anyway, so if you're curious, check this out. Heat Vision debuted a trailer for Adam Wingard's film A Horrible Way to Die, which will be premiering at the Toronto Film Fest next month. The story follows an escaped murderer in pursuit of his ex-girlfriend, who fled to start her own new life in a small town. But Wingard also played with narrative chronology, sound design and visual aesthetics to make it more unique.
Watch the official trailer for Adam Wingard's A Horrible Way to Die:
When a vicious serial killer escapes from prison, the dangerous past of a woman dealing with alcoholic rehab quickly begins to catch up with her. The film stars AJ Bowen as Garrick and Amy Seimetz as Sarah.
A Horrible Way to Die is directed by Alabama-based filmmaker Adam Wingard, who is making his feature debut after directing a handful of short films since 2004. The screenplay was written by Simon Barrett, of various indies like Frankenfish and Red Sands previously. Bloody-Disgusting.com founder Brad Miska is a producer along with Celluloid Nightmares' Travis Stevens. This will be premiering at TIFF where it will be looking for a distributor, so stay tuned. This looks intense, but I'm not sure if it'll be that good. Thoughts?

you know, call me old fashioned, but every once and a while I'd like to see a happy ending in an indie movie. you know that this one will end with the only person in the movie you care about or even like dieing tragically because the filmakers wanted to be 'poetic'. whatever- just not my cup of tea. pass.

Didn't watch the trailer but don't intend to. Who honestly thinks up these movies? Do I really want to see an escaped murderer trying to kill his ex-girlfriend who's trying to start a new life? It's not like it's a budgeted horror flick either where people never take the movie seriously. pass.

Yeah, not an especially appealing trailer. Seems like one of those movies where the hero/heroine constantly makes stupid, irrational choices simply to put themselves in harm's way. You know, cause that's what horror characters do....

Luckily in rehab she learns ninjitsu so when the beardy loon turns up she totally ninjas his ass. Then her and the guy she kisses head off to Yogi Bears house for a picnic. Looks miserable. Will most likely be miserable. But people are miserable.

Don't know what's up with all of the hate. I think it looks good... artsy horror is always appreciated. And it stars AJ Bowen, who's fast becoming Mr. Indie-Horror (if you haven't done so already, watch House of the Devil).

Looks like a bunch of art students filmed it over Winter Break. Boring, poorly-acted and NOT scary. 😛
