There's a great spoof video that's floating around the web called "The Making of Transformers Prime" that, even though it's for a TV show, is still worth mentioning. You see, Transformers Prime is the new Hub TV Transformers (robots in disguise!) animated series that debuts this Monday, November 29th. Two of the creators are writers and producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, who you know from Michael Bay's Transformers and Star Trek, and they put together an amusing behind-the-scenes video with exec producer Jeff Kline taking a look making the show. Whether you're a Transformers fan or not, you've got to see this!
One of my favorite lines: "Save that for movies, okay, this actually has to be good!" Ouch! Hah, I love these guys, what a hilarious way to virally promote the show. I actually really want to watch this now! The footage at the end looks pretty good, but it's an interesting animation style I'm definitely not used to (especially with these guys forever burned into my memory). Anyway, I like their approach to this, both as marketing and for creative inspiration, and I hope it's as good as it promises to be. Transformers Prime is a 5-part mini-series that starts Monday, November 29th on Hub TV (channel listings here). Anyone else interested in watching?
