"Explore one of the sweetest rides in comic book history in this exclusive video tour of The Green Hornet's Black Beauty." Metacafe (via Collider) debuted a new behind-the-scenes featurette presenting an inside look at the mechanics, operation and secret weapons hidden inside the sleek Black Beauty car used in Seth Rogen and Michel Gondry's The Green Hornet (watch the trailer). We've seen this green car on display at Comic-Con for years, so it's not a first look or anything but it is an extensive video and fun to watch if you're an automobile enthusiast or a fan of The Green Hornet. Not sure it'll help win anyone over, though. Enjoy!
Watch the featurette on the Black Beauty car from Sony's The Green Hornet from YouTube:
The Green Hornet is directed by visionary French filmmaker Michel Gondry, who (in addition to numerous music videos and commercials) previously directed Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep, Dave Chappelle's Block Party and Be Kind Rewind. The screenplay was co-written by Evan Goldberg & Seth Rogen, of Pineapple Express and Superbad. This is based on the classic characters created by George W. Trendle and Fran Striker in the 1930s, known best as a TV series in the 60's with Van Williams & Bruce Lee. Sony is bringing The Green Hornet to theaters (in 3D) starting on January 14th next year. Thoughts?

If the movie's success is parallel to the car, then the movie will have a hard bodied story line with a old fashioned ending. Oh, and guns or something.

So jealous that Seth Rogen got to ride around in this car. I'm feeling pretty optimistic about this flick. Not only is Rogen in it, but Cameron Diaz, Christopher Waltz, Tom Wilkinson & Edward Furlong. I just picked up a copy of Mr. Furlong's latest film called Attack On Darfur on Thurs. I'm surprised how underrated this Uwe Boll film is. http://bit.ly/9Een8H
