Ohhh is it great to have John Landis back behind the lens again! And unlike John Carpenter, his comeback actually looks fantastic! Our friends from HeyUGuys.co.uk have debuted the first full official trailer for John Landis' new black comedy Burke and Hare starring Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis. This horror-comedy is based on a true story about two "grave robbers" who used to sell corpses to a medical college. It looks like a very entertaining period comedy and its even got Isla Fisher, Tom Wilkinson, Tim Curry and Christopher Lee appearing, too. I have to say - the accents threw me off at first, but I still think this looks great. Enjoy!
Watch the first official trailer for John Landis' Burke and Hare:
Burke and Hare, directed by legendary filmmaker John Landis (Animal House, Blues Brothers, American Werewolf in London, Trading Places, Coming to America, Beverly Hills Cop III), is a black comedy about two 19th century grave robbers who discover a lucrative business selling corpses to the Edinburgh Medical College for dissection. The script, co-written by Piers Ashworth & Nick Moorcroft, is based on the true story of William Burke and William Hare, who sold some 17 corpses to the college. This was made independently in the UK and it doesn't have a US distributor, so we're still waiting to hear about its release. Look good?

#1: Well, it still needs to be understandable for the non-scottish crowds. Looks like good fun.

Ronnie Corbet at 2.02, brilliant. Seems to be the only Scot in this movie.

everyone needs to FORGET the accents..........it's NOT a documentary or a serious period piece. this looks like a great, zany, black comedy! just in this trailer there are some very funny lines from all the cast - i can't wait.

I think that although the trailer looks to be cherry picking the best parts this will have a lot more to offer...it is Pegg and Landis after all. Those guys define humor. I'm very interested! Thanks for the post Alex.

@Saint, I concur. @Beavis, agreed. @Chad "I sell The Dead" wasn't that great, besides the acting it didn't really offer much. I'm in!

@Chad You realize this is based off real events right? Burke and Hare were real murderers, No idea is original, Big deal.
