Watch: Hilariously Fun Second Trailer for Warren Ellis' RED!
by Alex Billington
July 22, 2010
The Comic-Con panel for Warren Ellis' RED just wrapped up in San Diego, but after debuting a second new trailer at the panel, it's also made its way online officially via Apple. It's a hilarious and perfect follow up to the first trailer that arrived back in June. I love the action, it looks extremely fun, and I love that final ending moment with John Malkovich. That moment alone makes me want to see this, I would walk into a theater right now and watch it. In addition to Malkovich, RED stars Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen frickin' Mirren, Mary-Louise Parker, Richard Dreyfuss and Karl Urban. Check out the new trailer below!

When his idyllic life is threatened by a high-tech assassin, former black-ops agent Frank Moses (as played by Bruce Willis) reassembles his old team in a last ditch effort to survive. Based on the Wildstorm comics.
RED is directed by German filmmaker Robert Schwentke, of Tattoo, The Family Jewels, Flightplan and The Time Traveler's Wife previously. The screenplay was written by brothers Erich and Jon Hoeber, of Whiteout previously as well as the upcoming Battleship and Alice. This is based on the Warren Ellis comic book series first published by WildStorm in 2003. Summit is bringing Red to theaters on October 15th later this year.

Havent we had enough "group of skilled people who can kill good and the government is after them" movies? though this seems pretty intriguing i have to say

I bet all their field scores were 'OFF THA CHARTS'. Looks funny enough for watching after a weekend of drug and alcohol abuse, not too taxing.

Okay, the part with Willis jumping out of the car was pretty sweet. #7 If you ever read Warren Ellis's blog, he writes everything after "a weekend of drug and alcohol abuse" so I guess its perfect.

incredible! awesome!!........the humor is great; the action is campy and fun! the cast is amazing - malkovich is very entertaining, but hell - ALL the actors look to be portraying memorable characters. i'm so glad they didn't turn this into a standard, serious, bloodbath action movie. as i watched this, i wished there was one more actor in this - betty white she'd been perfect in this movie and she'd have kicked ass and taken names in this one!

"We're getting the band back together." Looks awesome and that's not even counting the Willis/Freeman/Malkovich appeal.

It's looks like the bastard child of one of those old people ensemble movies (Grumpy Old Men; Cocoon) and the A-Team. I'm in. I love me some cheesy action/comedy/grumpy old folks getting some screen time.

YesYesYesssss!!! Damn, the only other person who ages as well as Mary-Louise Parker (who still looks like shes in her twenties) is Borgnine (who only looks like he's in his seventies!) He's working a lot, too! Check out his IMDB page!

Looks very promising. Has a great cast and the effects in the trailer was amazing. I agree with everyone, Bruce Willis exiting the car and Malkovich holding a gun like a baby was the highlights of the trailer. I agree with what #1 said the story is a little overplayed but adding the age being a factor was a different touch. Not a huge fan of the screenwriters (whiteout was disappointing) but i enjoy the Directors work.
