Watch: Mike Relm's Very Funky Remixed Tron Legacy Trailer

Okay, make what you will of this, because it's not really that awesome. What I mean is, it's a good concept (remixing a trailer) and Tron Legacy has some amazing visuals, but this just feels like some amateur DJ doesn't know what he's doing with a bunch of gorgeous footage. Hat tip to MovieViral for originally finding this, but I'm not really sure how many of you will like what you see. Relm took pieces from the original test footage (which I confirmed with Joe Kosinski at Comic-Con will not be in the actual movie at all) and mixed in pieces of the last two trailers to make a funky remixed Tron Legacy music video. Watch at your own risk.
Check out the new Mike Relm remixed Tron Legacy trailer:
You can also watch this Tron remixed trailer in Higher Definition on YouTube
Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father's disappearance and is pulled into the digital world of Tron where his father has been living for 25 years.
Tron Legacy is directed by first-time filmmaker Joseph Kosinski. The screenplay was co-written by Adam Horowitz ("Lost"), Richard Jefferies (Blood Tide, Living Hell), Edward Kitsis ("Lost"), and the director of the original movie, Steven Lisberger. This first got the greenlight last year because this early teaser played well at Comic-Con. Disney is bringing Tron Legacy to theaters in 3D starting on December 17th, 2010.

Heh, so his formula is to grab a scene and mix over and over (and over) again. Meh.

I actually really liked this one...better than his other stuff, hated that Iron Man 2 one. This was a great a trailer and better remix.

@alex - alright, I never saw the Iron Man remix. It was a lot better than this one. And it gives this video more legitimacy to be on the site. I was just wondering why you would post it since it is a dj remix and your opinion you posted of it sounded like you didn't think it was good (which it isn't). Your point is valid though. Interesting concept, it is just for fun, and you want to have it posted if it gets a tv spot like his Iron Man one did. (But I highly doubt this one will).

The point of this is to make a beat / melody using footage from movies. It's well done, regardless of whether it fits your tastes or not (#1 and others.)

@12 I was questioning the reason why it was posted on the site. I know what the point of a remix is, I'm not an idiot. I just think it's irrelevant to what this site is about. The remix itself isn't about Tron at all, it's about the DJ and this isn't a music site. It's a movie site. But since we're not talking about movies danielvultran, here's another remix for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQp5l4-sfFA

Why all the fuss? It doesn't tIe away from the coolness of the footage and it was well done, no harm no foul.

you say he's also a DJ like that should some how lower his credibility ?? does being a DJ some how impair your ability to edit video ?? what is your point ?

Had to go find the Iron Man remix to be sure...this guy rocks. Thanks for posting this...all the more psyched for Tron Legacy. Also, I'm sure the guys at Barely Political love the exposure...gotta love The Key of Awesome song parodies on YouTube... And the reason for posting it on this site is the same reason for reporting every little rumor and innuendo about what is happening in the world of film. It's all interconnected. Thanks, Alex!!

"Tron Legacy is directed by first-time filmmaker Joseph Kosinski " I dont get this part? How can a first-time director get a gig like this? Well, he's done ca 15 commercial, most are quite stunning. http://www.josephkosinski.com Not much on his site, but have a peek at some of his work, some are quite good 🙂

I am so over Tron. Disney had better know for certain this is not gonna suck. And it was posted 'cause Alex is drooling all over this Tron hype. We have seen this before. It is the first film. TRON.

This remix isn't as good as Mike's others.

This was garbage. The Iron Man 2 remix was nearly as bad, but thankfully a bit less irritating. This was horrible.
