Watch: Second Full Theatrical Trailer for Blue Sky's Animated 'Rio'
by Alex Billington

Time to fly. I just made that tagline up, but it works. Fox has debuted a new full-length trailer on Apple for Blue Sky Studio's animated comedy Rio, about a domesticated blue macaw who winds up in Brazil. This is the second trailer we've seen, following the teaser back in May, and it looks fun but oh so typical. We already know the two birds will hook up after the physically and emotionally challenging adventure. Plus when the teaser hit, we didn't know it was Jesse Eisenberg voicing "Blu" but now we do and it just sounds like him, not a macaw. Anyway, I'm probably being too harsh on this charming animated movie, so watch and enjoy!

A nerdy macaw who lives in a small-town zoo in Minnesota takes off on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro.
Rio is directed by Rio de Janeiro native Carlos Saldanha, who co-directed of Blue Sky's Ice Age, Robots, Ice Age: The Meltdown and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs previously. The screenplay was written by family writer Don Rhymer, of Big Momma's House, The Santa Clause 2, Agent Cody Banks 2, The Honeymooners, Deck the Halls, and Surf's Up previously. This is Blue Sky Studios sixth feature animated film since Ice Age in 2002. 20th Century Fox is bringing Rio to theaters everywhere starting on April 8th, 2011 next spring.

lol @ Time to fly. They should go with that. hahaha...would be better than whatever smart ass shite I'm sure they'll come up with. This is really pretty, though. You must admit. It's quite painterly looking. The better the 3d studios get a 3d rendering, the more their stuff looks like beautiful 2d paintings...

btw I have a blue macaw just like this one...so this entire film's premise is bullshit haha unless it's taking place in the future. Also, this movie must have been why Pixar cancelled that Newt or Salamander movie what have you...since their premises are strikingly similar and this would have come out first.

Hey Perv 2# it's Bumbum (together), but... you actually have a Brazillian name... weird. Well, at least the director is Brazillian, probably won´t have the constantly bullshits about Brazil that American's Director does. As a fellow contryman i 'll see it.

Will.I.Am and Jamie Fox in a comic relief duo? Something you don`t see every day.

Can I just say for me Foxx and Will.I.Am ruined it for me... Looks okay...a lot of animated films have been surprise hits this year, perhaps 2011 will keep it going.
