The Green Hornet Trailer

Not to be confused with Green Lantern, Sony has debuted the second full-length theatrical trailer via Yahoo for The Green Hornet, the Seth Rogen and Jay Chou funky superhero action flick based on the classic serial characters. This trailer contains a lot of the same stuff from the first trailer we saw in June, but also a lot of new scenes, including some badass quick glimpses of "Kato Vision" that director Michel Gondry was integral in envisioning. To be honest, one of the reasons why I want to see this is to watch those fight scenes, they actually look awesome. So have at it, check out this new trailer, and try not to be too critical if you can.

You can also watch the new Green Hornet trailer in High Definition on Yahoo

The Green Hornet is directed by visionary French filmmaker Michel Gondry, who (in addition to numerous music videos and commercials) previously directed Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep, Dave Chappelle's Block Party and Be Kind Rewind. The screenplay was co-written by Evan Goldberg & Seth Rogen, of Pineapple Express and Superbad. This is based on the classic characters created by George W. Trendle and Fran Striker in the 1930s, known best as a TV series in the 60's with Van Williams & Bruce Lee. Sony is bringing The Green Hornet to theaters (in 3D) starting on January 14th next year. Thoughts?

Looks good although the slo-mo/bullet time effects were starting to get a little bit repetitive by the end of the trailer.

Still not quite sure I buy Seth Rogen as as the character yet. Trailers like this make me think we've seen the movie's best parts (especially jokes). This may be the first stoner super hero movie.

When I first heard The Green Hornet and The Green Lantern were getting made, I never thought I would see the day when I would prefer the Hornet to the Lantern, but guess what? So far the Hornet is winning...

I like how the tone of the comments has shifted from disgust to looks hmmm kinda cool 🙂  Trailer was great, made me laugh and loved the action!  The trailer balanced the humor and seriousness/action pretty well. Here is to praying that they didn’t show all the funny parts...but Seth Rogen’s movies usually have funny seens thru-out.

This trailer did a better job selling the movie. Seth Rogen still plays himself though.

Just terrible....unwatchable today in IMAX with HP. Horrible and really sad.

The guy playing Kato was weak. A young Jackie Chan type would of been better. This guy is wooden to put it mildly. I smell political correctness. Can't make fun of minorities now? Only whites? How about lets make fun of everyone.

Will they mention that The Green Hornet is the grand nephew of The Lone Ranger?

Christoph Waltz is the ultimate BAMF.

This looks just as bad as the first trailer. Re-editing does not fool me. Jay Chou is no Bruce Lee. Seth Rogen is no Green Hornet. Sony has another stinker on its hands. I would know. I attended a screening. It was not good.

Please tell me the 2 songs played during the trailer?!

Oh my goodness, that looked fantastic. I really like how they put Kato in as much of the limelight as Reid.

As I say on my blog the trailer has some awesome stuff in it(Christoph Waltz, Kato's fight scenes) but Seth Rogen just feels incredibly out of place

SpeakingGeek on Nov 20, 2010

34

Much improvement over the last trailer, and uhmm, Alex how did you NOT include Christoph Waltz in the description?

Sean on Nov 20, 2010

35

Reminds me of Big Trouble in Little China where the main character is really the sidekick.

MCab on Nov 21, 2010

36

I could definately sit through this. It's like a more intense cop/buddy action flick. It's nice to see a superhero of some sorts not go solo too.

Eli on Nov 21, 2010

#35 you are crazy.....Kurt Russell was not a baffon like this piece of crap Rogen, and # 24....no bloody way. The mere fact the Hack Rogen is involved will tell you he knows nothing about the Hornet let alone his bloodline. This is just so sad it makes me sick.
