Are you ready for this?! A brand new trailer for Steven Antin's new musical Burlesque starring Christina Aguilera and Cher (as well as Stanley Tucci) has debuted and can be seen below thanks to YouTube (via Vlicious). This energetic trailer hops into things right away and gets groovin' to some music, so be prepared to turn up (or maybe down if you're at work) the volume. If you like big, sultry Pussycat Dolls-like musicals, you're going to love this, but if not you're going to hate it, so don't get too upset. One thing I'll say about this is that Cher still look pretty awful… but can I add that I totally love seeing Stanley Tucci in almost anything?
Watch the first trailer for Steven Antin's musical Burlesque:
Burlesque is a contemporary musical where Aguilera plays an ambitious smalltown girl with a big voice who finds love, family and success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club. It was pitched as "Moulin Rouge meets Cabaret", and will use established songs that will be updated and worked into dance numbers. Cher, in her first movie musical ever, plays the owner of the financially strapped Sunset Strip nightclub. This is directed by Steven Antin, making his feature debut after acting on shows like "NYPD Blue" and producing "Pussycat Dolls" shows for The CW. Sony is bringing Burlesque to theaters Thanksgiving week, on November 24th.

Wow. This is a MUCH better trailer than the first one. It looks like a fun, modernized version of Cabaret and Moulin Rouge. The visuals and musical numbers look really great. I'd see it, for sure.

OMG! I love musicals. Can't wait to see this, it looks like a lot of energy and the cast is to die for. Christina, Cher, Stanley, Kristen, Julianne, Cam, Eric, I am so gonna see this.

I have to say.. I saw a screening of this at Sony Pictures a month ago and I sat down expecting to see the worst movie ever and i looooved every second of it. Christina is game as the starlett, Cam is great as the hunk. Cher is not as bad as you'd think except for one song she sings. Stanley Tucci steals the show of course and he's playing a variation on his Devil wears prada character. But honest to goodness the songs make you want to tap your toes and its a very fun ride. Christina is straight sex in this movie and yes she can actually act. I have a funny feeling its going to be appropriatley shredded by critics who have to judge it on something it is not, and it will do gangbusters at the BO.

Very interesting trailer and Cher looks amazing, not sure what Sony's copyright problem is as it is up on their site, surely they're big enough and sensible enough to appreciate that First Showing is one of the best forums for movie buffs and asking you guys to take the trailer down is a classic case of shooting themselves in the foot

I think they took it down because they promised the exclusive to Entertainment Tonight and the trailer leaked the night before ET was going to air it. They didn't ask First Showing to take it down, they just took down the youtube video they posted. You guys should re upload the trailer from the official website. They put it back up after Entertainment Tonight aired it. Anyway, it looks like a really fun movie. The visuals are amazing. Can't wait to see it.
