Watch: First Teaser for Dwayne Johnson Revenge Movie Faster

"Sermon's over." CBS Films has unveiled the first teaser trailer for their new heist action-thriller Faster, starring Dwayne Johnson as an ex-con out to avenge his brother's death. In addition to "The Rock", this also stars Tom Berenger, Carla Gugino, Jennifer Carpenter, Maggie Grace, Moon Bloodgood and Billy Bob Thornton. Nice car Johnson, but will it be any good? From this teaser, I think it might be. I really dug this, love the song choice and the fact that it's a short, nice teaser, no need to spend two minutes showing us the whole movie. In fact, I'd like to see this right now, but it's not out in theaters until November. Watch below.

An ex-con heads out to avenge his brother's death after they were double-crossed during a heist years ago.
Faster is directed by Milwaukee, Wisconsin native filmmaker George Tillman Jr., of Paula, Soul Food, Men of Honor and biopic Notorious previously. The screenplay was written by brothers Joe (Shout, Bulletproof, Sweet Jane) and Tony Gayton (The Salton Sea, Murder by Numbers). Newly created distributor CBS Films will be bringing Faster to theaters everywhere starting on November 24th this fall. Does it look any good?

I think the producers of this movie don't realize that this type of movies only attracted movie goers in the 90's. This type of steroid filled action hero/anti-hero are no longer relevant.

#10 IMDb has Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje listed as "Evangelist" so I am guessing that is who is on the tape. I have been waiting to see The Rock in a good action flick since the Rundown, so I am very excited to see this. "Finally...THE ROCK....has come back to action movies!"

the song that starts playing at 6 seconds and lasts for like 15 seconds seems like a different song. I know The heavy play the song in the second half of the trailer. maybe its a single version or something?

FINALLYYYYYYYYYYYY.... the Rock HAS COME BACK to.... Actions movies... (!!!) Looks very cool in a popcorn flick smash em up sort of way. I'll take this over all the prequel, sequel, reboots this summer!!! Good to see him in 2 movies in the same calendar year and I agree with EVERYONE that he should have been doing the sorts of movies all along. That said, I might have actually taken him over Adrian (or better yet Fishburn) in Predators. (just me)

Great, another movie starring Billy Bob Thornton's hair piece. Don't get me wrong though. I dig the trailer, and I love to see Dwayne Johnson doing some real action again. But please, and for the love of God, give Billy Bob Thornton a proper hairdo. It ruins the realism of the story/movie!

Glad that Dwayne Johnson is back in action flicks. This movie looks promising. The supporting cast is all great. Good to see Jennifer Carpenter do something else besides being dexters sister. I will defiantly want to see this movie. Seems like a film that wont disappoint. It wont be amazing, but wont be a flop.

looks pg-13. kinda over the rundown, walking tall bit with this guy. hes got so much potential to grow into an amazing actor, but he chooses such easy roles. i hope for his sake this is a memorable role.

The piano part IS How You Like Me Now by The Heavy. The piano part you hear in the trailer is actually heard in the mid point of the actual song!
