Alice in Wonderland TV Spoter

Disney aired their Superbowl TV spot for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and it can be watched online below. Its got some new footage and new editing and I actually really like it. I'm still not sure if this will be that good of a movie or not (I'm honestly a bit skeptical), but I am looking forward to finally seeing it and then letting you know what I think. But if you're looking for a final boost of interest for Alice, check this out, I think a few of you may be ready to see it in theaters after watching this. Disney should have more TV spots coming during the Superbowl so stay tuned here for any more that pop up once their air. Enjoy it!

Alice in Wonderland is directed by visionary filmmaker Tim Burton, of everything from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure to Beetlejuice to Batman to Edward Scissorhands to Mars Attacks to Sleepy Hollow to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to Sweeney Todd most recently. The screenplay was written by Disney's own Linda Woolverton, of Beauty and the Beast, Homeward Bound, and The Lion King previously. This is based on Lewis Carroll's beloved series of books that were first published in 1865. Disney is bringing Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland to both digital 3D & 2D theaters, as well as IMAX, starting on March 5th this year.

I don't know how to feel about this...its starting to feel like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which wasn't all that great, my anticipation is slowly dwindling...but I'll reserve harsher judgement for the release. I'm really interested in Ann Hathaway as the White Queen and Mia Wasikowska as Alice the others I'm not really worried about.

Am I the only one that finds it weird that after 2 or 3 trailers and now this TV spot, I don't think a single line of dialogue has been shown spoken by Alice? This is called Alice in Wonderland after all. This is either the most mispromoted movie in years, or Alice has absolutely nothing to do with the story. Tim Burton needs to get over Johnny Depp already. If you want to make a loose adaptation and turn the Mad Hatter from a cameo character to the main star then just call it Mad Hatter and be done with it.

This looks absolutely amazing and will be a fantastic box office success - certainly in the UK. I have my ticket for 5th March and can't wait.

The rabbit always makes me giggle when he says "You're late for teeeea!!!", because he's so upset, and I love the fuzzy face of the Cheshire cat...but man, does Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter annoy me. Visually this looks like an amazing, trippy joyride, but I am not sure if that's enough for me to sit through another eccentric performance from Burton's wife and his man-crush Depp.

Uh..... Sean.... you do realize you're criticizing people for judging a movie negatively before they've seen it, yet you're judging the same movie positively before seeing it. "Face it!!!!!, this movie is going to rule, and you are going to drool!!!!!" I hate to argue with such an intelligently phrased argument, but in what way are you not judging the same movie? Are you basing it off the trailers, which regardless of what you may feel, seem to take a lot of strange liberties with the story, or is it just because Tim Burton's track record with remakes, ie Planet of the Apes, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, leads you to believe a masterpiece is on it's way.

Colca on Feb 8, 2010

@Colca, - of course this movie is going to be another tim burton masterpiece, who in the world are kidding?, i mean come on now!. @Xerxex, Yes i understand you were just messing around! =).
