The Last Airbender TV Spot

If you've been watching shows like "American Idol" or "Glee", you've probably already seen this spot, but for everyone who hasn't seen it yet, here you go. Paramount recently debuted this epic new TV spot for M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender to build some extra hype these last few weeks. The last trailer we ran in April already had me completely sold on seeing this, but TV spots like this only confirm further that this is probably going to be totally awesome. I've heard some people still complaining about Shyamalan, but I think this will show that he's more than capable of handling epic fantasies, not only thrillers. Check it out!

You can also watch the official trailer and the Superbowl TV spot for The Last Airbender at those two links.

The Last Airbender is directed by M. Night Shyamalan, of The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, The Village, Lady in the Water, and The Happening previously. The screenplay was also written by M. Night Shyamalan while the story was co-written by Shyamalan and creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino. This is based on the popular Nickelodeon cartoon series Avatar: The Last Airbender that originally aired in 2005. Paramount is bringing The Last Airbender to theaters everywhere starting on July 2nd this summer.

Only ever watched a few episodes back in my anime days and loved it. This is still looking up to par with the series. Hopefully is has some funny parts because it is definately a comedy at times. Not seeing any comedy in the trailers tho.

it has no place in the tv spot it is being marketed as an epic sci fi/fantasy/ spectacle not a comedy

I've watched the whole series and making the live action movie with comedy is a big mistake. You cannot take it seriously if there are a bunch of jokes, otherwise Micheal Bay might as well have directed it.

@ L Well put. There are going to be some funny moments with Sokka.. but if it's slapsticky or overtly funny... it loses it's potential.

#7 totally agree with you on that one!! this flick should be shown sans comedy due to the epic action quality.
