The A-Team Trailer

Apparently this trailer wasn't supposed to be online until later this weekend, but the first official trailer for The A-Team has ended up online, courtesy of The Film Stage. You better catch this quick or else it's going to be gone and we're going to have to wait until it's officially released this weekend. The A-Team stars D9's Sharlto Copley, Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, Patrick Wilson & Jessica Biel. Yes, this looks as badass (just about as badass as badass can be) as you're expecting it should, which is just awesome. They parachute out in a freakin' tank? Oh hell yes! "I love it when a plan comes together." Enjoy!

Watch the first trailer for Joe Carnahan's The A-Team:

This Joe Carnahan (Smokin' Aces, Pride and Glory) directed and Michael Brandt / Derek Haas (Wanted) written adaptation of the 1980's TV show is about a group of ex-Army Special Forces who work as soldiers while being on the run from the military for a crime they didn't commit. Starring as the elite A-Team are: Sharlto Copley as Capt. "Howling Mad" Murdock, Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck, Liam Neeson as Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson as Sgt. Bosco "B.A." Baracus. 20th Century Fox has already set a June 11th, 2010 release date next year. What did you think of the new trailer?

Looks quite bad but then again the quality is horrible 🙂

masticator on Jan 8, 2010

Looks good. Hope to see a better version of the trailer.

Nithin on Jan 8, 2010

Did that last scene show Bradley Cooper shooting down a plane from a tank as it is being parachuted down?? Thought so....pass! I'll probably catch the DVD.

Ron on Jan 8, 2010

Looks like a fun ride. Though for the Mr. T role they should have cast that big guy who played the President in Idiocracy. That guy is absolutely ripped and he's hilarious.

Dave on Jan 8, 2010

So you say it's badass, huh? I believe in Alex Billington, so I'm probably going to see this.

The Dude on Jan 8, 2010

Since there's (two) Jessica Biels, staring in the movie (re-read the first paragraph), that's the ONLY reason I'd watch this. Or I can wait ten years and pick up the DVD, in a bin somewhere, for $3.99.

Typhoon on Jan 8, 2010

No dididididi din di din din din din din!? Used to watch that show most saturday afternoons at my grans house, it's nearly as daft as the Iron Man origin in the film, but some how it was quite amusing for an 8 year old. Looked okay til the flying tank, they should have saved that for the cinema.

crapola on Jan 8, 2010

That end scene was the final nail in the coffin. No thanks. I'll stick with the original. HH

Have Hope on Jan 8, 2010

Not too shabby! People gripe about everything these days, I'll be seeing this film. I'm sure it'll be priceless to see Neeson and Copley in their roles!!

Blue Silver on Jan 8, 2010

I pitty the fool that puts down this film!

Mr.T on Jan 8, 2010

I actually was exited until the last scene....WTF WAS THAT! why didn't they put laser bean seagulls too, fuck it go all the way...ptfff

ADM86 on Jan 8, 2010

looked solid till that ridiculous last sequence that was over the's cheesy scenes like that which can take you totally out of the movie

monal on Jan 8, 2010

"The A-Team stars D9's Sharlto Copley, Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Jessica Biel, and Jessica Biel." hell yeah, 2 Jessica Biels

Felipe on Jan 8, 2010

Hahahah this could be either intentionally cheesy rediculously over the top amazing, or a complete way TOO over the top rediculous disaster. But I gotta say I barely even noticed that was Copley there for a second, that guy has a seriously amazing acting career ahead of him.

Cody on Jan 8, 2010

well i really wanted to get all hyped with this trailer but i think gotta wait for a better quality one. but my main concern they went a bit over the line action scenes and kinda negated the first half of the trailers positive waves. i kinda felt i was rewatching Charlies Angels 2 the cast is pretty solid especially liked hannibal and BA Baracus 😀 Face could have been better its not bad but could be better and murdock i couldnt get the crazy shithead pilot from him too 😀 but then again seing that Black red striped hell on wheel and the soundtrack should be enough to bring back some good old memories 😀 we ll wait and see 😀

Burak "D'aequitas" on Jan 8, 2010

LMAO@ the people saying that tank seen was way too over the top do you even know what the a team is lol that is like complaining TDK was to serious an dark

nelson on Jan 8, 2010

BH on Jan 8, 2010

The cheesy original worked only as a kids show so I can see that the tone in this movie is very similar. Still looks like a disaster waiting to be released.

Ian on Jan 8, 2010

That last scene was too much

Trey M on Jan 8, 2010

what a load of bollock's.

tobi, leader of the akatsuki on Jan 8, 2010

Yes. The tank is midair and they're fighting off jets or something. Yes. Yes. And more YES.

Tristan on Jan 8, 2010

this movie is gonna rule

Sammie on Jan 8, 2010

God most people cannot enjoy a movie for what it simply is? The A-Team will be a fun action movie. Just take it for what it is. The cast in great Liam Neeson, and Bradley Cooper and act, Sharlto Copley is a good up and runner, as for Rampage Jackson well we'll see.

Xerxex on Jan 8, 2010

I hope they write Rampage some good stuff 'cause the guy's hilarious in real life.

Frame on Jan 8, 2010

o.k. I liked it.

smackinyou on Jan 8, 2010

looks like fun, I'm in

Duck on Jan 8, 2010

I totally agree with Nelson, don't you people remember the show? in every episode they ended up fabricating tanks and booby traps, from scraps in whatever farm they were saving that week. This looks about as ridiculous as the show would have been if they had the same budget. This won't win any awards, so don't treat it like a serious movie.Enjoy the explosions, laugh at the jokes and eat your fuckin popcorn.

theotherbluth on Jan 8, 2010

It's the A-Team people, of course it's going to be over the top action. I used to watch it back in the 80's, but it's something cool when you're 10 years old or younger, watched it in the mid 90's and I wondering what the hell was I thinking. (just like Dukes of Hazzard) Dont expecting it to be on the top 10 of the year list, but they casted it well. I'll check it out for the hell of it.

Nasty Nate on Jan 8, 2010

@ Theotherbluth, I think imagination is dying for those who can't buy a tank parachuting and destroying a jet, but thankfully some can!

Xerxex on Jan 8, 2010

It cracks me up that people are complaining about the trailer being over the top. Ummm, did anybody here WATCH the A-Team? I defy you to find me an episode that contained even an ounce of subtlety.

Gill on Jan 8, 2010

its so fucking awesome that the guy from district 9 is going to be in this movie, this is the main reason i want to see this

matthew on Jan 8, 2010

What is it with you and telling us what happens in the trailer? You know maybe, just maybe, we'd like to watch the trailer and be surprised ourselves.

Ravster on Jan 8, 2010

so why don't you watch the trailers before reading then? figure it out.

lego on Jan 8, 2010

Ravster, don't be upset. Alex was so excited when writing the post he mentions Jessica Biel's name twice and notes that 20th Century Fox has already set a June 11th, 2010 release date next year. So what did we celebrate on January 1st?

Travis on Jan 8, 2010

I got here too late.

TVN on Jan 8, 2010

Gavin O' Connor directed Pride and Glory. Joe Carnahan directed Narc.

J.J. on Jan 8, 2010

videos gone but hollywood needs to get over their hard-on for bradley cooper, he aint that good besides his okay performance in the hangover. and from the pic that mohawk or whatever the black dudes got goin on looks like shit.. Mr. T he aint

harrison on Jan 8, 2010

I'm not a big fan of the tv-series... but I honestly think that this would have benefitted from having MrT return to that roll. I think fans and general moviegoers would have dug that trailer and the film more. WOuld have been a smart and cool choice.

ryderup on Jan 8, 2010

aww man this looks awful n i had high hopes

Madnezz344 on Jan 8, 2010

At least the trailer is back online now. Why was it even deleted in the first place. Prediction: The A-Team will be the biggest non sequel of 2010.

hank on Jan 9, 2010

Lol did they escape a mid air explosion in a tank, this rocks so much

iron man on Jan 9, 2010

I Think the majority of the comments are from people who weren't even a twinkle in their dad's eye when the Origiinal A-Team series was on TV - so should just enjoy the trailer while sucking on their pacifiers. In todays action ridden cinema where almost every action scene tries to better the last - we are talking about The A-Team. The Best and The Baddest - whatever and however they do it, is fine with me. @ 3. Yes it was a Tank - enjoy the DVD, at home, with your mum. @ 4. In what Universe does Terry Crews even remotely represent even a shadow of the B.A Character. @ 6. Is that when you'll also be rooting around the bins for scraps of food and clothes? Ass. @ 11. I Blame the crystal Meth your mum smoked while they were pregnant with you, hence your spelling issue. @ 16. You tell 'em! @ 20. Tobi? really, is that your name. Your parents must really love you.

taro baap on Jan 9, 2010

It looks like a movie you'd rent because nothing else is on, and after watching it you tell yourself: "I guess I could have seen that in the theater. I guess."

Quanah on Jan 9, 2010

@ taro baap is that your real name,& to answer your question of course it's not it's just a user name from anime & manga i like called naruto, & the a-team trailer like the tv show of the 80's is still a load of bollocks.

tobi, leader of the akatsuki on Jan 9, 2010

Sometimes you are in the mood for some good, dumb fun. This looks like it will fit the bill nicely. Tongues are firmly in cheek here and I for one am looking forward to a good laugh when this gets to cinemas.

cinemabandit on Jan 9, 2010

Awesome trailer. Sharlto Copley as Murdock is freakin' perfect!! Alex, I never do this, but the way you worded your summary post trailer, you made it sound like Carnahan directed "Pride and Glory" as well - he only wrote the screenplay....

Conrad on Jan 9, 2010

It reminded me too much of how cheesy GI Joe was so so far I think I hate it. If Rampage was gonna bail on UFC he should do it for a good movie at least.

Richard on Jan 9, 2010

tobi, leader of the akatsuki on Jan 9, 2010

That looks like the biggest stinking pile of shit! The only reason I would even consider this (dvd or on tv when it premiers) would be to watch it for Scharlto Copley.

Stefarooh on Jan 10, 2010

I had high hopes for this....being a huge fan of The A Team growing up in the 80's...and i thought the casting was great (perhaps Rampage Jackson being the only weak link)...but that last shot of the parachuting tank (WTF??) has put this in the G.I Joe school of shit blockbusters! Up to that point the trailer was a little underwhelming but i cut it some slack because its the first peak at the film. Dont get me wrong...if it comes out and everyone is giving it rave reviews then ill be a happy man and...but right now im just afraid that Hollywood has ruined another great opportunity to make an awesome film with sloppy writing and bad CGI!!!

vegasdanny on Jan 10, 2010

The Sweetie Man is in this???? Where is Sam Worthington?

Prawn on Jan 10, 2010

A lot of people will go out and see this film and compare it to the TV series of the 80s. Scharlto Copley may pull it off as Murdock, Liam Neeson as John Hannibal Smith sounds right. I wonder if there is a cameo from Mr T at all it would be nice not bad for a first trailer hope there is a better trailer forthcoming.

Cineprog on Jan 10, 2010

FLYING TANK HELLS YEAH IM IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha Good casting if u ask me.

werdnafaz on Jan 11, 2010

It looks good. I wish my brother was around he would definitely love this. I'll go see it just to honor his memory. He loved that show when he was a kid. It actually looks better than I thought it would.

arjones on Jan 11, 2010

Bruce Willis was first considered for the role of Hannibal Smith. Common, Ice Cube and The Game were all rumored for the role of BA Baracus. Although Liam Neeson looks like a good choice for Hannibal Smith.

Voice123 - trailer voice overs on Jan 12, 2010

I only see one Jessica Biel. Me thinks the horny guys are reading two Jessica Biels. Before some tard gets on here and claims that Alex fixed the post, ask yourself why did he not fix the, "June 11th 2010 release date next year" part?

Ariel on Jan 13, 2010

HAHAHA Christ thats stupid.

Alex T. on Jan 15, 2010

I'm down with all the casting except Neeson. It just doesn't look like a convincing fit.

Combaticus on Jan 19, 2010

Guys if Liam can pull off Taken then he can pull off A-Team p.s. What the heck was wrong with the tank scene I saw absolutely nothing wrong with it

max s. on Feb 28, 2010

What a fantastic movie!

Sandra on May 12, 2010

WOW. Loved the trailer very much. Its gonna be a rocking movie and i think with those renowned actors its gonna be a blockbuster. Thanks for sharing.

Julie on May 24, 2010

I'd be excited, but it has Bradley Cooper. I love the other 3, but I don't think I can stomach another acting "performance" from Cooper

Katie on May 28, 2010

I think after watching the trailer, i am really impressed. I think i am gonna watch the movie with great interest. I love these types of action movies. Thanks for sharing.

Thumbs up? if you think this is the b-team!

I really enjoyed the A Team as a kid in the '80's. We'll see how well the movie stacks up...

San Diego P on Aug 2, 2010

ridiculous as the show would have been if they had the same budget.

iPad Gps on Dec 16, 2010

Have watched the movie already, and would keep on referring this to my friends who have not watched the movie yet. It's a great team up of actors.

Sandra Hopkins on Jan 11, 2011

Not too shabby! People gripe about everything these days, I'll be seeing this film. I'm sure it'll be priceless to see Neeson and Copley in their roles!!
