Must Watch: Galifianakis' Between Two Ferns with Sean Penn

What's that? You've never heard of "Between Two Ferns" with Zach Galifianakis? Well, then you're missing out on some seriously hilarious stuff. Over at Funny or Die, an uninformed, idiotic version of Zach Galifianakis has been hosting a public access style talk show with some of the hottest names in Hollywood. Sitting quite literally between two ferns, the comedian asks whatever questions pop into his head complete with random stories, tangents and inappropriate comments. This edition has Sean Penn as his guest, but with Zach out of town, his effeminate Southern raised twin brother Seth is hosting and it's amazing to see.
Penn is very much playing it straight here and the hardest thing he has to do is not laugh, but it's hilarious to have such a serious, opinionated and sometimes overbearing actor having fun like this. Penn hasn't done comedy in over a decade, and even though he's not being silly here, I'd love to see him take on more comedic roles in the future. Things get a little heated since Seth is even less informed than Zach when it comes to his guests, and he just doesn't know when to shut up. If you've got the time, be sure to check out other episodes of "Between Two Ferns "which include Michael Cera, Jon Hamm, Natalie Portman and many more. Enjoy!

It's funny watching Sean Penn try not to crack a smile after he says he's gonna knock "Seth" out right in his chair.

Unfortunately, Sean Penn really is an asshole, which is why he plays one so well. Yes, he's a great actors, but he's also a huge douche. This man goes on TV and says he's done nothing but work in Haiti and hasn't left in months, when there are pictures of him on vacation not in Haiti. Ugh. He's full of himself and it makes this episode of BTF not funny.

Wow. I am tired of this kind of humor. Also, this whole thing about introducing major actors into this world of Adult Swim comedy has been getting nauseating as of late.

It's exactly the same thing that Raphaƫl Mezrahi in France did 15 years ago... Exactly the same...

I always wondered what people have against Sean Penn? He is a great actor and tries to do some good, I don`t know much about him outside his movies and interviews when he promotes them so if someone could explain whats so wrong and bad about him I would like to hear. Those photoes are you sure when they were taken and the timeline penn talks about??? People always want to put others in a bad light so knowing when and who is telling the truth becomes harder and harder nowadays

This was funny but I thought the other episodes were far funnier. Michael Cera and Steve Carrel were my favorites although all of them are great.
