With DreamWorks' Shrek Forever After hitting theaters this weekend, the animation studio has decided to unleash the first full-length trailer for Megamind, their new superhero comedy hitting theaters later this year featuring the voice talents of Will Ferrell (as Megamind), Brad Pitt (as Metro Man), Tina Fey and Jonah Hill. We ran the teaser trailer back in March and it looked absolutely terrible then and it looks terrible now. Well, actually, I'll admit that it started out pretty good, but slowly got worse and worse, and by the end I was about as uninterested in this as I possibly could be. Sorry all you DreamWorks lovers, but this looks awful.

A satirical take on superhero movies, in which a notorious villain loses his oomph after he accidentally kills his nemesis Metro Man. Megamind is being directed by DWA's own Tom McGrath, of both Madagascar and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa previously. The script was co-written by first-time writers Alan J. Schoolcraft and Brent Simons. This will be DreamWorks Animation's third feature film this year following How to Train Your Dragon in March and Shrek Forever After in May. Paramount will be releasing Megamind in theaters everywhere starting on November 5th this year. Anyone planning on seeing it or just skipping it instead?

While remarkably better than the teaser trailer, this movies is still missing something, and it's not the cast. It just seems too stereotypical, and i realize that is a big part of this movie's jokes, but it just seemed like something I have already watched a million times. That being said, Dreamwork's Megamind will probably take in a healthy sum at the box.

Looks like it will have some really funny moments. But overall meh. That last scene made me laugh really hard, when the fish smacked him.

Looks not good. But as long as there is a lot of falling, slapping & funny voices the (most) kids will love it. With the help of the advertisement circus that comes with it of course.

I agree that it does look like a ripoff of The Incredibles, but I also think it looks pretty damn good. Though I am a Pixar fanboy, I was impressed with HTTYD so I'll give Dreamworks the benefit of the doubt.

I don't know, it didn't seem bad to me. I think kids will like it. I still think Will Ferrell is awesome. Minus Land of the lost.

I work in animation (former Disney) and I've never really liked Dreamworks. I HATED Shrek and every piece of Shrek that came after it. I was privileged to see about 10 minutes of this film and I must say I was BLOWN AWAY! Whether or not this movie is any good can only be judged by seeing it, and I personally can't wait! I hope they get the story right, because the animation that I saw was truly breathtaking.

I hang my head in shame, but I actually laughed a few times during this trailer. I love you too random citizen. That caught me off guard.

At first the film was titled "Master Mind." However, it got into copyright issues and was changed. Robert Downey Jr. and Ben Stiller were originally voice casts.

Two words: EPIC FAIL Or it might do good and we don't know it(like 'How to train a dragon'). But it isn't funny... >.<
