Enjoy Featurettes About the Making Of Nimrod Antal's 'Predators'

Our very first introduction to Robert Rodriguez & Nimrod Antal's Predators was through a sneak peek featurette, so it's only fitting we follow up the trailer with yet another new featurette. The video comes from Germany (via YouTube) but isn't dubbed, so it is watchable and in high def, too. It mainly contains some interview segments with Rodriguez and Antal as well as some new footage, including dialogue from Danny Trejo. I totally love the Japanese guy too, I can't wait to see him fight with his samurai sword, that will be badass to watch. The more I see from this, the more excited I get, I think it looks like it could be awesome.

Watch the latest two making of featurettes for Nimród Antal's Predators from YouTube:

Predators is being directed by Nimród Antal, of Kontroll, Vacancy, and Armored previously. The screenplay was co-written by newcomers Michael Finch and Alex Litvak and is based on early draft written years ago by producer Robert Rodriguez, who also worked with them on the script. This is a reboot of the Predator series created by Jim & John Thomas and directed by John McTiernan in 1987. We're not sure what the actual plot is, but all we need to know is that it's about a bunch of badass elite warriors who fight a bunch of predators out in the jungle. 20th Century Fox is bringing Predators to theaters worldwide on July 7th this summer.

Looks good. I love the first with Arnie. Hopefully this one somewhat compares

Franzen93 on Apr 13, 2010

Sick, I'm very optimistic on how well this will do. It seems they're making sure they don't screw it up.

Nick Sears on Apr 13, 2010

For a Predators reboot, this movie has a lot of pressure on it and by the look (and sound) of things, Antal and Rodriguez are going to deliver. Then again, I thought the same thing about AVP and look how that turned out.

Scott on Apr 13, 2010

Hopefully this is some old school shiza. But the predator hound people. wtf? will it deliver.. The brodemeister is a sik actor though so kudos for that. Yeh ill see it on the big sceen u got my coin.

I do like him mentioning the practical effects and only using CG to enhance things so it wont be a total CGI fest.

Cody w on Apr 13, 2010

I'm sorry, but if this movie is rated PG-13 all hope is lost for this film...

Cody R. on Apr 13, 2010

I hope they kill Thoper Grace first

quaked2023 on Apr 13, 2010

Hopefully Grace will give a good performance, he left a rather bad taste in our mouths after Spidey 3, hell that whole film did, the rest of the cast looks great, Brody as the leader seems a perfect fit.

Xerxex on Apr 13, 2010

They didn't show much new in this, just same as last time.

John I.G> on Apr 13, 2010

I like that it will have Rodriguez' hand... I didn't like none of the AVP although it sounded like a great combination. But, the way I see it, Rodriguez and Antal seem to know exactly what they have to do and what they don't have to do on this movie. I'm thrilled to see this one!

Chucho on Apr 13, 2010

Agreed #6. This is looking better and better. But if it's not R then I don't know... Seeing as they are big fans of the first two it would seem that making it R would just be a given for them and anyone else who loves the first two

Dan W on Apr 13, 2010

#6--PG-13 is what, only two f-bombs and no boobs, but all the killing you want. I bet the first Predator would be a PG-13 today if the language was cleaned up.

Goudos on Apr 13, 2010

First of all, is anyone else surprised that Nimrod Antal has no discernible accent? I was really expecting something from him. Maybe German or Austrian, even Hispanic. But nothing. Secondly, we have now seen three different trailers and featurettes on this movie and we have yet to see or hear anything about Topher Grace. Are they trying to keep his character a secret or is he just that bad in the movie. I figured everybody knew his "secret" by now but maybe a couple people are avoiding any and all info on the movie... but still watching preview featurettes. And lastly, this movie looks awesome. I can't wait to see this, in the theaters, full price. As long as it's rated R. A PG-13 rating will ruin this movie faster than... well faster than just about anything. But Rodriguez seems like the right guy for the job. And he only seems to make rated R splatter-fests and PG kiddie fluff.

WTf #12 No...its called gore. The original predator didnt pussy out on the violence like the first AVP did. If this is PG-13 it has no chance period. Im tired of seeing some guy get killed by watching his shadow get torn apart or it cuts away the moment a plasma caster hits him in the face. Do I have to recall Weathers getting both his arms blown off, or Ventura getting a hole blown through him or poor Indian Billy's (dont know his real name) spinal/skull ripout...or or yeah you get my point.

Cody w on Apr 13, 2010

#14, Have you watched CSI, Criminal Mind, etc? Any gore in the first Predator could almost be on network TV today. I don't think its pussying out today as much as the MPAA does not care about violence and gore, not as nearly as much as they are scared shitless by tits and f-words

Goudos on Apr 13, 2010

looks good, from what i can tell the plot is: predators kidnap fighters from different warzones and whatnot then drop them in their favorite hunting spot planet and hope they make good game

harrison on Apr 13, 2010

Brody kills this movie. It's f'in hilarious that they act like adding him will make this movie but I swear if he doesn't die int he beginning and is the next Arnold, this movie will blow. Brody is what they say, an actor and far from believable of being anything extreme...unless he's playing a piano. What a joke. It was bad enough having him but the way they put stock in him saying they were young fans and if they like it, I have little faith in this movie now. Already did being probably a bigger fan owning all the books and comics knowing the expanded universe so to use Brody is like using that chick in AVP. Welcome to another disaster.

I only want to see Predators firing there lazooors, but out of their eyes. Looks very similar to the first film, but with Adrien Brody instead of a meat head for a lead. The world of the predators is interesting enough, so I always watch the films anyway.

Crapola on Apr 13, 2010

there's a guy named Mahershalalhashbaz Ali in this movie... hell yes ill watch it

#17 really man? Brody is gonna kill this movie? I actually buy his as a leader of a band of badass people. I would much rather have Brody leading then some muscle bound wrestler. Brody is the way to go.

Xerxex on Apr 13, 2010

@5 -- "I do like him mentioning the practical effects and only using CG to enhance things so it wont be a total CGI fest." Where have we heard this before? e.g. Indy 4? Honestly, this sort of statement about CGI only being used to "enhance" is BS. It's a major tool in the film maker's arsenal now.

casting couch on Apr 13, 2010

@22... LOL, "some muscle bound wrestler", you obviously are young and know nothing about Schwarzenegger.

if it bleeds, we can kill it on Apr 13, 2010

i hear Schwarzenegger's skull makes a cameo 😛 movie looks way good to miss 🙂

DaftPUNKFAN on Apr 13, 2010

I watched the first featurette, another movie where I dont wanna see half of the movie before I sit down to watch the damn movie.

People's Champ on Apr 14, 2010

By the way, if youre bitching about Brody, youre a moron.

People's Champ on Apr 14, 2010

I loved the old franchise and i think this one will be promising.I was hoping of Arnold comback in this one, not complaining though.

Fisherr on Apr 14, 2010

PG 13= Fail End of Comment

Have Hope on Apr 14, 2010

uh #25 I wasn't talking about the Schwarzenegger Predator, genius. I'm merely saying I pefer a slightly built merc leading a group of misfits. Not a muscle ripped He-Man. "You're obvisouly young" first off I'm fully aware of who Schwarzenegger is, I've seen all of his film for better or worse I'm not gonna bother listing his films no need, you don't give a shit and I don't feel like posting them. You're obvisouly jumping around on your "Jump to Conclusion Mat" and you've jumped to the wrong Conclusion.

Xerxex on Apr 14, 2010

hate it when directors say "made it for the fan", everytime i hear that film turns out shit.

rockfeller on Apr 14, 2010

Lol "jump to conclusion mat" that made me laugh.

Cody w on Apr 14, 2010

if the movie is rated pg 13 than it'll suck big time... but then again on the other side we have NIMROD ANTAL (all you need to know about this great european (hungary) director is in his movie KONTROLL) directing and ROBERT RODRIGUEZ PRODUCING... THAT SOUNDS WICKED!!! hope it will get a R instead of family weekend pathetic pg 13. sorry 4 bad english grammar...

danilo nikolic on Apr 18, 2010

this is gonna b the best predator movie yet. theres no way it can b pg-13
