Is it just me or does it feel like Zach Galifianakis is in pretty much everything. Yes, he's funny, but we're starting to get to an overload point, I think. How about yet another movie he'll be in? Entertainment Weekly says that Galifianakis is likely to join the cast of The Muppets, the upcoming Jason Segel-written, James Bobin-directed revival of the beloved Jim Henson puppets. His manager told EW that they're "talking about it" which means it's not confirmed, but I'm sure it'll happen, as he's the perfect guy to show up in this. The Playlist found another report adding that he will be shooting for a few days, presumably for only a cameo.
The cast of Jason Segel's The Muppets movie already includes a few great actors: Segel in the lead, Amy Adams as his girlfriend, Rashida Jones (The Social Network) and Chris Cooper. The film has a Hollywood focus as it follows the Muppets as they try to save their studio from a greedy oil baron (Cooper) who wants to dig for oil. Segel will play the lead who reunites the Muppets for one last show to save the studio. Sounds like it will be a fun movie and I hope they get a solid line-up of actors for cameos beyond just Galifianakis, especially since his appearance is now expected. Glad to see this coming together, we'll keep you updated!

Wasn't he one of the most vocal in the Gibson Hangover 2 cameo? He needs to slow down, Due Date I know will be funny, but he's growing tiresome...take a break!

Well it's like a few months ago he was joking about how no one knew who he was. Now everyone knows who he is. I still think he's great, but he should slow down a bit or else his comedic style may get old. Kind of like what happened to will Farrell and how he's almost the same character in a lot of his movies. He will always Tairy Greene in my eyes http://video.adultswim.com/tim-and-eric-awesome-show-great-job/tairy-greenes-acting-seminar-for-children.html

i think ive watched all his stuff from the popular hangover to the lesser known work on the internet, bored to death and its kind of a funny story and i can say this is great news. i just hope they get a couple of fun bands to write the music. i see the crews connections with flight of the conchords, no reson they and a few more bands couldnt step in

I'm not sure he'd want to do this. I mean I think he would want to have rights to rewrite the entire script right? It's his right, yes?

#5 & 6.........it's about time someone pointed out the "Emperor's New Clothes" aspect of this fella, way too much power and way too opinionated for someone who has about three jokes up his sleeve, oops they can't be up his sleeve as we've all seen all his got.....

you said it perfectly #7. i might add he doesn't have ANY movies where he was THE star, does he? i liked "hangover" but that was an ensemble cast. in "due date" he's going to be one of two. seriously - this guy isn't that great and certainly his being in a film isn't a reason i'd watch it.

I really enjoy him in BORED TO DEATH. I dont think hes particularly fantastic, but he's not terrible. I could really see him putting in a fantastic cameo with The Muppets: small dosage, funny and appropriate. Bring it on.
