'Amazing Spider-Man' Set for Comic-Con + 'Face of the Fan' Contest

Sony has officially announced via a press release that The Amazing Spider-Man, from director Marc Webb starring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, will be appearing at the San Diego Comic-Con this July, as expected. In anticipation of the July 3, 2012 release of The Amazing Spider-Man in 3D, the cast and filmmakers will discuss the movie for the first time as they address the fans at San Diego Comic-Con. They're also announcing a contest for one Spider-Man fan to be the "face of the fan" at Comic-Con, and have the opportunity to meet various actors and the filmmakers for an interview. To enter, fans must submit a 60-sec video of themselves answering the question: "Why should you be the Face of the Fan correspondent at Comic-Con?" Just visit faceofthefan.com/TheAmazingSpider-Man to submit you video and read for the complete rules. All entries will be judged and one winner will be chosen to attend Comic-Con San Diego 2011. The winner will meet the cast and filmmakers, and have a chance to ask them fan questions gathered from the social communities on the web about The Amazing Spider-Man. The prize includes one trip for two (2 days/nights) to attend San Diego Comic-Con 2011, including hotel accommodations, airfare, and two passes to attend Comic-Con.
