Though last month brought news that The Blind Side actress Sandra Bullock might be venturing into the world of baseball alongside Clint Eastwood for the drama Trouble with the Curve, it looks like her schedule is full. Now Variety reports it will be the lovely Amy Adams who will take the lead female wrong in the story of an aging baseball scout (Eastwood) who's losing his sight and decides to take a road trip to Atlanta with his daughter to check out a hot prospect. However, it's important to note that Adams has merely been offered the role, and since her schedule is apparently also pretty cluttered, it may not happen.
The film marks a rare return to acting for Eastwood who has stayed mostly behind the camera with films like Mystic River and most recently J. Edgar. However, his own films like Million Dollar Baby and Gran Torino allowed him to shine on the big screen as an actor too. The Warner Bros. project also marks the feature directorial debut of Eastwood's longtime business partner Robert Lorenz, who worked as assistant director on several of Eastwood's films like Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby. Both Adams and Bullock were eyed for the role from the beginning, but if both fall away, it's not clear who might step up.

Amy Adams is so gorgeous and sexy. She's a very talented actress. I hope this is the role for which she will finally win an Academy Award.
