"I've never seen a beast as strong as this…" Warner Bros has released another full-length trailer (on Apple) for Catherine Hardwicke's Red Riding Hood, the new "gothic" take on the red riding hood story starring Amanda Seyfried, as well as Gary Oldman, Lukas Haas, Billy Burke, Virginia Madsen, Shiloh Fernandez and many more. This isn't any more impressive than the first full trailer from last year, that is to say, it's not really that entertaining at all. Not really sure how many people are going to be interested in this, but give it at shot. The best part is Gary Oldman, but he's always great. Check it out and let us know what you think?

In the dark retelling of the famous children's tale, Seyfried stars as Valerie, a village girl torn between two loves. The threat of demons and werewolves further complicates the love triangle, along with a priest (Gary Oldman) obsessed with ridding his village of evil, and any townspeople hiding their own secrets and lies. Red Riding Hood was directed by Catherine Hardwicke (of Thirteen, Lords of Dogtown, The Nativity Story, Twilight) from a screenplay by David Johnson (of only Orphan). It also stars Shiloh Fernandez, Lukas Haas and Virginia Madsen. Warner Bros is bringing Red Riding Hood to theaters starting on March 11th, 2011.

Hmm, all I can say is, I don't know...but Gary's part though, it made me think of his version of "the man himself", Prince Dracul...and that can't fail!

I got too much of a Twilight vibe from this trailer, and I know the director's are the same; still it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And WTF they used NIN's "The Hand That Feeds?"

Is eyes a innuendo for something else because I get the feeling that Seyfried will then try to sleep with the wolf.... if this falls into the category of twilight like it think it will. 13 year old girls must be buzzing with excitement right now. Shame to see Oldman in what will surely be a paycheck movie for him.

okay that's almost as good as it being her. I could go for that. only they would have to come up with some explanation about him not knowing he is the wolf. ups the creepy factor.

How much hair gel were folk rocking in those days 700 years ago? Or did they go back in time from Twilight?

As much as I like that NIN song, it didn't fit this trailer at all, nor did it save it from looking weak. Gary Oldman is still a charismatic motherfucker, though, and I will watch it just to see everybody else pale next to his performance.

I agree. Poor choice of music. And I'm sorry, but I don't find Seyfried very attractive. I keep thinking of Marty Feldman.

I remember when this movie was called The Village. At least that had Roger Deakins cinematography and a brilliant James Newton Howard score.

i would like it if seyfried was the wolf. that would be a great twist

lmao, that was exactly what I was thinking. It would be make the movie 10 X better if the wolf she sees is only a vision of her true self or some other mindfuck like that.

Well that would solve the issue of how to get the wolf in a nightgown.

I gotta say, I'm kind of disappointed in Gary Oldman for being in this vomitous mass of Twilight regurgitation.
