Red Riding Hood Trailer

"I've never seen a beast as strong as this…" Warner Bros has released another full-length trailer (on Apple) for Catherine Hardwicke's Red Riding Hood, the new "gothic" take on the red riding hood story starring Amanda Seyfried, as well as Gary Oldman, Lukas Haas, Billy Burke, Virginia Madsen, Shiloh Fernandez and many more. This isn't any more impressive than the first full trailer from last year, that is to say, it's not really that entertaining at all. Not really sure how many people are going to be interested in this, but give it at shot. The best part is Gary Oldman, but he's always great. Check it out and let us know what you think?

In the dark retelling of the famous children's tale, Seyfried stars as Valerie, a village girl torn between two loves. The threat of demons and werewolves further complicates the love triangle, along with a priest (Gary Oldman) obsessed with ridding his village of evil, and any townspeople hiding their own secrets and lies. Red Riding Hood was directed by Catherine Hardwicke (of Thirteen, Lords of Dogtown, The Nativity Story, Twilight) from a screenplay by David Johnson (of only Orphan). It also stars Shiloh Fernandez, Lukas Haas and Virginia Madsen. Warner Bros is bringing Red Riding Hood to theaters starting on March 11th, 2011.

Hmm, all I can say is, I don't know...but Gary's part though, it made me think of his version of "the man himself", Prince Dracul...and that can't fail!

wow saw that blur of wolf pounce, i think it should get R rating , people can wet their pants and skirts while watching the movie, seems pretty dark story, hope they have a good eerie soundtrack to go with

Amanda Seydried is like chocolate... you never had too much.

Hans-Wurst on Jan 20, 2011

One of the few trailers NIN could not save.

+1 Ryderup

Sadly true lol when I heard it I was like maybe this trailer will rock after all...that wasn't the case 🙁

TerrytheSaint on Jan 25, 2011

I got too much of a Twilight vibe from this trailer, and I know the director's are the same; still it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And WTF they used NIN's "The Hand That Feeds?"

Cruzer on Jan 20, 2011

you want a twilight vibe. so watch the teaser. there are whole blogs about how it is a total repeat of the twilight trailer

Another tween angst movie just put some ab flexig from those team edward and jacob look alikes and you got women running in a frenzy to this

Loser on Jan 20, 2011

Is eyes a innuendo for something else because I get the feeling that Seyfried will then try to sleep with the wolf.... if this falls into the category of twilight like it think it will. 13 year old girls must be buzzing with excitement right now. Shame to see Oldman in what will surely be a paycheck movie for him.

Mountain Top Movies on Jan 20, 2011

i think gary oldman's the wolf

Deeznutz on Jan 20, 2011

okay that's almost as good as it being her. I could go for that. only they would have to come up with some explanation about him not knowing he is the wolf. ups the creepy factor.

How much hair gel were folk rocking in those days 700 years ago? Or did they go back in time from Twilight?

Crapola on Jan 20, 2011

Well Carlisle Cullen was what 500 years old. Maybe these are his grandparents.

As much as I like that NIN song, it didn't fit this trailer at all, nor did it save it from looking weak. Gary Oldman is still a charismatic motherfucker, though, and I will watch it just to see everybody else pale next to his performance.

I agree. Poor choice of music. And I'm sorry, but I don't find Seyfried very attractive. I keep thinking of Marty Feldman.

kitano0 on Jan 20, 2011

I remember when this movie was called The Village. At least that had Roger Deakins cinematography and a brilliant James Newton Howard score.

TeddyBlass on Jan 20, 2011

i would like it if seyfried was the wolf. that would be a great twist

history repeats on Jan 20, 2011

Damnit, that's what I was going to say! 😉

Michael Kingscott on Jan 22, 2011

lmao, that was exactly what I was thinking. It would be make the movie 10 X better if the wolf she sees is only a vision of her true self or some other mindfuck like that.

alfredo on Jan 22, 2011

Well that would solve the issue of how to get the wolf in a nightgown.

The song was annoying and didn't fit the trailer at all, please somebody bitchslap the dick who put the trailer together.

Pedro Leon on Jan 21, 2011

Choke... This is even worse than Twilight... Yak.

Peter on Jan 24, 2011

I gotta say, I'm kind of disappointed in Gary Oldman for being in this vomitous mass of Twilight regurgitation.

TenaciousV on Jan 25, 2011

Looks like stupid shit.

i still find this whole movie lame!
