Between the cool sets of coded posters featuring cast members like Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy and Colin Firth, and both the first teaser trailer and second international trailer, it's safe to say that Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy is looking like it could turn out to be one of the best and most tranquil spy thrillers in a long time. Aside from the stellar cast, the direction of Tomas Alfredson (Let the Right One In) bringing John Le Carre's classic novel to the big screen just makes this look better and better all the time. Such is the case with this shorter but still sweet new international trailer that keeps me pumped for the flick. Watch below.
Here's the new trailer for Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy originally from Yahoo UK:
Set in the aftermath of the Cold War, Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, also described as a "breathtakingly ordinary" anti-James Bond, this tells the tale of a big spy hunt within the highest echelons of the British Secret Intelligence Service. Gary Oldman plays the lead role of George Smiley (once played in the 1979 TV mini-series by Sir Alec Guiness) a small, podgy spy who is charged with unearthing a mole. The film is an adaptation of John Le Carre's classic spy thriller that follows a British Intelligence operative who delves into the world of Cold War espionage. Focus Features has this scheduled for release December 9th in the US.

The premise is very similar to The Sentinel (2006) but Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy has an interesting cast.

What a terrible trailer. Trying to put every thing of potential interest into 30 seconds, as if that's what makes a trailer. Not that the film might not be great...just that the trailer is so "commercially" bad, that I'm turned off by this.

absolutely agree, this looks like its gonna be an amazing film by all accounts, and the trailer couldn't have done a shittier job portraying that. and that voice over...
