Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber Will Ask 'What Would Kenny Do?'

After making a splash in theaters with his 3D musical documentary Never Say Never, it looks like chart-topping pop singer Justin Bieber may be trying his hand at acting on the big screen. 24 Frames reports Bieber is attached to one of the lead roles in the comedy What Would Kenny Do? The film would have the teen pop star playing a 17-year old who somehow has a relationship with his thirty-something self, who would be played by Ashton Kutcher. Surely the girls must be giddy with glee thinking of this pairing, and the two do actually look very similar to one another. The question is whether Bieber can actually act or not.
Apparently the project has been developed for months and was originally going to shoot this year, but Bieber's touring schedule is keeping him busy until 2012. This would also be a bold move for Bieber considering the script from writer Christian Baldi (which ended up on the 2008 Black List) is an R-rated comedy, which could be a little too much for Bieber's key demographic.
However, word on the street is that a new draft from (500) Days of Summer writers Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber is less raunchy. Oh, and if you're curious how the kid's thirty-something older self can interact with him, apparently he just travels back in time to help the awkward teen version of himself. Honestly, that raises more questions than answers. Anyway, a director and new writer are being sought, so who knows when this will get off the ground. Interested?

This sounds something like The Kid with Bruce Willis, just with an older Kid. This can't be good news. Justin Bieber is a Timberlake wannabe. Of course, I didn't like Justin Timberlake because of the pop boy band thing, but when I saw what a true versatile entertainer he was, I had more respect for him. Plus, he's shagging Jessica fucking Biel. And although he's popular with women of all ages, I don't think Bieber has any of that talent.

I thought that at first, but the Matthew Perry character TURNED INTO the Zac Efron character, instead of meeting him. And that was a surprisingly funny movie. This will bomb. Big time.

Well, you may have a point there. He can sell seats, because he's so popular with idiots (and God knows there are plenty of those walking around,) but I seriously doubt he can act, and that will probably show if and when they get this done and put a trailer together. Perhaps it's just wishful thinking, that people will get a clue and start to ignore him.

I saw the episodes of CSI where JB was acting and I can't understand why people are saying he can't act at all!? I mean c'mon. I think he was at least as good as anyone else who has been guest starring in CSI.. And besides that, he is extremely good looking and amazing singer. And the one who says he cant sing havent clearly seen him at a concert. He is so talented! (:
