Bill Murray

It's been around eight years since Bill Murray landed a much deserved Oscar nomination for his performance in Sofia Coppola's fantastic film Lost in Translation, and now the actor is set to work with the filmmaker's older brother on a new project. Variety reports Murray has just joined Roman Coppola's new drama A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III, the film marking the big screen return of troubled but recovering actor Charlie Sheen. In addition, Patricia Arquette and Mary Elizabeth Winstead will also star in the story that sounds familiar to those who have followed Sheen's recent antics.

Jason Schwartzman, Aubrey Plaza and Kathryn Winnick are already attached to join Sheen as he leads the film as a successful graphic designer whose fame, money and charm have made him irresistible to women. But when his girlfriend breaks up with him, his life swirls into a downward spiral of doubt, confusion and reflection. Through delirious fantasies involving his many failed romances, he begins the hard road of self-evaluation to come to terms with life without her. Though it's not clear what role Murray or any of the other supporting cast members are taking, the project really sounds like a promising drama, and if Roman can deliver the same quality film that Sofia has crafted in her work on The Virgin Suicides and Lost in Translation, then this could really reinvigorate Sheen's career.

Schwartzman is pretty cool in everything he does. I especially love his collaborations with Wes Anderson!

I love Roman Coppola's CQ, such an amazing film! That family is just super talented. I'm so psyched for this and now more than ever. Great casting, I'm sure nothing can go wrong at this point. Film's going to be brilliant 🙂
