It sounds like most of the major roles in Alex Proyas' ambitious adaptation of Paradise Lost, the classic 17th century poem by John Milton, which revolves around the epic war in heaven between archangels Lucifer and Michael, including the latter's role in Adam and Eve's fall from grace. left to be cast have likely been filled. Bloody Disgusting reports (with confirmation from Variety) that Diego Boneta (who will next be seen singing his heart out in Rock of Ages) and Camilla Belle (10,000 B.C.) will play Adam and Eve in the film. In addition, Rufus Sewell (who starred in Dark City for Proyas) has joined the cast as Samael.
The latter character is Lucifer's partisan who urges the Prince of Darkness to start the rebellion in Heaven. Meanwhile, Adam and Eve are the infamous (and usually nude) couple tempted by the Garden of Eden and expelled for their actions. The trio rounds out an impressive cast that includes Bradley Cooper playing Lucifer with rising star Benjamin Walker set to play Michael, and Djimon Hounsou is playing Abidel the angel of death. Casey Affleck is also starring as Gabriel, an angel who teams up with Michael to take down Lucifer. Now the only thing left is to see just how Proyas is visualizing this epic battle in heaven.

My dream movie since I was a kid is a war movie between heaven and hell. I pray that Proyas does mess it up.
