Bad Teacher

Out of the slew of R-rated comedies that hit theaters this summer, some of the most satisfying laughs came from Bad Teacher starring Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake and far too little of Jason Segel. The raunchy comedy is already slated to hit Blu-Ray/DVD shelves on October 18th, but if you missed the film in theaters this past summer, you get one more chance. The official Facebook page of the film just revealed a round of free midnight screenings tonight, September 30th and Saturday, October 1st. Find out the closest theater hosting these free screenings right here, and don't miss this hilarious movie again.

Here's the hilarious red bad trailer for Jake Kasdan's Bad Teacher:

A comedy centered around a foul-mouthed, junior high teacher (Cameron Diaz) who, after being dumped by her sugar daddy, begins to woo a colleague (J.T.) -- a move that pits her against a well-loved teacher.

Bad Teacher is directed by Jake Kasdan, who started out with Zero Effect and on "Freaks and Geeks", then directed Orange County, The TV Set and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story previously. The screenplay was co-written by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, the duo behind Year One, veteran producers & writers on "The Office" and the Ghostbusters III script. The film was produced by The Weinstein Company and Mosaic Media, and Columbia & Sony Pictures brought Bad Teacher to theaters on June 24th. See it!

Segel was the best part of Bad Teacher, the Sharks are so majestic but so ferocious was the best part.

Really? it wasn't that, I need to stop assuming Alex writes all these. Now I get it.

Sorry my opinions don't match up with yours, Nate. Which comedies did you find yourself enjoying so far this year?

Ethan Anderton on Sep 30, 2011

nate - these guys just do a kick-ass job on putting up a LOT of great content for all of  us movie-lovers....... but all of us as individuals will have different tastes as to what's "good" or "bad" movies. i lean towards you in this case. BT was had some funny raunchy moments but i don't think  cam diaz or justin T. can act. jason segal was his usual funny self, though. the plot in this was really weak too.   ethan - as far as this year - i thought  "paul" and "cedar rapids" were better.

I think it was a good R comedy. There was a few good comedys this year, but nothing top 10 of all time or anything like that.

but Timberlake was badly miscasted in the movie.

I’ve never really seen Cameron Diaz play a “bad girl” part but I was so excited to see her pull this off because she has the right looks to do it.  Amy Squirrel was such a funny character to play and Lucy Punch did a fantastic job.  I think this movie really pushes the boundaries of “bad” in a wonderful way.  I am always looking for the movie I missed in the theater as I am an avid movie watcher but what I like about Blockbuster is that I can always find movies not only rare but 28 days before other movie services.  Not only that but the Blockbuster Movie Pass from DISH Network that is free for new customers gives me one bill from DISH, over 100,000 movies plus games, streaming and I also get 20 movie channels on my DISH employee account as a current customer for only $10 a month.  Next on my queue is “Friends with Benefits” and I don’t have to pay extra for mail to my home, or Blue-ray.

This movie was excellent!!  Not in the "Oscar-worthy" sense of course, but I am going to school the become a teacher, so it was irreverently funny and relevant for me!  If you missed it in the theaters, check out the new Blockbuster Movie Pass from DISH Network.  That's where I work while I go to school, and you can get over 100,000 titles either by-mail, or streamed live!!  It has a wide variety of movies, games and shows, all on one package, for one price and through ONE company.  DISH even adds an extra 20 channels to your subscription package!!  Very cool!
