"She'll totally f**king beat evil." I think that may be tagline of the year! Another new poster featuring Ellen Page as The Crimson Bolt's badass sidekick "Boltie", who actually does some damage, has debuted on their film's Facebook page. A couple of weeks back we featured the hilarious/awesome official trailer for Super directed by James Gunn, starring Rainn Wilson as well as, obviously, Ellen Page, Liv Tyler, Kevin Bacon and Michael Rooker. This is the second poster following the red face of Crimson Bolt. It's great to see them continuing this design, but they don't really have anyone else they can do this. Anyway, check it out below!
When his wife (Liv Tyler) falls under the influence of a ruthless drug dealer, an everyday guy (Wilson) transforms himself into the Crimson Bolt, a superhero with good intentions, though he lacks heroic skills.
Super is both written and directed by St. Louis, Missouri-born filmmaker James Gunn, of the horror movie Slither previously as well as the "PG Porn" webseries. This is Gunn's second feature film and it premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year, where we saw it - watch out review. The film was picked up by IFC Films for US distribution. Super will be hitting theaters starting April 1st this spring. Hope you guys are excited!

you know i never paid any attention to this movie because it seems so uninteresting...look at Superhero, Super Capers, Sky High, and tell me this isnt going to be the same with a hint of Kick Ass knock off in it?..........

This will be just fine. Also: Just my opinion, but Kick-Ass wasn't very good. Super should do justice to this modern "superhero just because" genre.

Looks awful. Rainn Wilson would never be married to Liv Tyler. In clips from the movie, he comes off as a total psycho douchebag. And, no f*cking way Ellen Page could 'totally beat evil'. Evil is pretty vast and uncompromising. Nerds may love stupid movies like this and 'Kick-Ass', but ultimately, they're just derivative and lacking the essence of what it means to be a hero.
