Pan's Labyrinth

We've already seen a couple posters highlighting the films of Guillermo del Toro as part of Mondo's Director's Series, but another phenomenal one has just been revealed on SlashFilm. Aaron Horkey (who delivered a killer banner for True Grit last year) designed this very tall and beautiful poster for my favorite film from del Toro's career so far, Pan's Labyrinth. Mondo continually impresses me with the talent they gather for these special edition posters, and this release is no different. This fantastic poster was recently handed out at a special screening, but for those not in the vicinity, the print will also go on sale online soon.

Here's the new Mondo poster for Pan's Labyrinth (click for high res version) via SlashFilm:

Pan's Labyrinth Mondo Poster

All copies available at a screening at the famous Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas just last night sold out very quickly, but the remaining prints will be sold online this Friday, April 22nd via the Mondo Tees store (or follow @MondoNews). In addition to the print above, a less colorful variant (see it right here) will also be available. The above copy measures 37.5"X 15" and will have a print run of 420 being sold at $75 each. Meanwhile the variant print has a print run of 125 and will also be on sale for $125. As always stay tuned to Mondo's Twitter feed to see the exact time these posters will be on sale. Pretty damn cool, eh?

I love it. Del Toro's creature design is amazing; even the antagonists are of a certain creepy beauty. The faun is one of my favorite creatures of his, closely followed by the angel of death from Hellboy 2. This poster certainly does him justice. *grabby hands*
