While some viewers look forward to seeing dozens of their favorite stars in the ensemble holiday comedy New Year's Eve, some people likely don't realize that the film will only allow the dozens of talents like Lea Michele, Ashton Kutcher, Seth Meyers, Halle Berry and much more to have about 7-minutes of screen time in about a dozen different stories. This parody trailer for a new holiday ensemble comedy called Christmas Day points that out, but dares to boast an even bigger cast including John Cusack, Jennifer Aniston, Robert Pattinson, that kid from Jerry Maguire, Jack Skellington, Stephen Hawking and more! Watch below!
Here's the trailer-mash-up parody for Christmas Day courtesy of Funny or Die:
New Year's Eve is directed by industry veteran Garry Marshall, of The Flamingo Kid, The Lottery, Pretty Woman, Frankie and Johnny, Runaway Bride, The Princess Diaries, Raising Helen, Georgia Rule and Valentine's Day previously. The screenplay was written by Katherine Fugate, credited on The Prince and Me, Valentine's Day and Lifetime's "Army Wives". New Line Cinema and Warner Bros are bringing New Year's Eve to theaters everywhere starting December 9th this winter, just before the real New Year's Eve.

I'm really interested in what's so special about this Bob Crachit character that it requires that John Cusack and Kermit the frog both play him. Magician? Shapeshifter?

Nah, just that classic fairy tale of the ugly frog becoming a charming prince. Though myself I never thought of John Cusack as being ugly, but I hear it's Kermit who ends up with Kate Beckinsale.
