Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer & Ving Rhames Back for 'Piranha 3DD'

Last week we learned that production had begun on Dimension Films flesh-eating sequel Piranha 3DD, the sequel to last year's over-the-top- blood and nudity filled tongue-in-cheek Piranha 3D, the remake of the original 1978 film from director Joe Dante. At the time we heard about new cast members like Danielle Panabaker (The Crazies) and David Koechner (Anchorman) joining the cast along with slack-jawed Gary Busey, but no one from the first film was said to return. That changes as EW learned Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer and Ving Rhames will all reprise their roles in this new feast on vacationing families.
The returning cast members also join Matt Bush (Adventureland), Chris Zylka (The Amazing Spider-Man) and Megan Tandy (Unstoppable) in this story where there's something in the water…again. And this time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park. In addition, we also learned that "30 Rock" hottie Katrina Bowden would also be part of the fish feast when the film from Feast director John Gulager hits theaters on November 23rd, 2011, just in time for Thanksgiving. Sound good?

Well, let's hope they really go all out on this one. Right now Joe Dante's Piranha is still the best, no competition.

I thought Ving Rhames died in Piranha 3D. Either way, Piranha sucked. Didn't live up to what I expected.

I agree that the Piranha thing is played out... But...the predatory animal on random public transportation thing needs to be explored some more. Opening night of Snakes on a Plane in NYC was the most fun I've ever had in a movie theater (and that includes hole-in-the-popcorn night). "White Tailed Fish Eagles on an Amusement Park Tram With the Automated Carnie Robots" Yes

I wish Ving Rhames would do more mainstream films. Same with Christopher Lloyd. Rhames has done so many straight to DVD films over the last few years. Does anyone know whether he is actually in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol after he demanded a $7.7 million fee for returning?

Most fun I've had in theaters in a while. I don't understand why people were expecting to see anything other than blood and boobs... And yes, pretty sure Ving Rhames is VERY dead, so this should be interesting...

Loved the first one. Granted I only saw it due to its reviews, best gore I have seen in the theater ever.

Glad Adam Scott is not in the sequel! Can't remember if died in the movie or not. But I can't stand seeing him in movies or TV! He's got the annoyingly tiniest mouth! LOL! If you don't know who I'm talking about, google him.

Piranha 3D was pure shit. The same straight-to-video shit you'd see in VHS rental stores back in the early 1980s. I guess there was enough tits and gore to make enough money for a sequel.
