Comic-Con Video Blog: 'Adventures of Tintin' is Pure Spielberg Magic

Yesterday, the San Diego Comic-Con hosted one of the best panels we've ever attended, a presentation for The Adventures of Tintin which included Steven Spielberg himself making his first-ever Comic-Con appearance, Peter Jackson appearing in person, and even a brief cameo by Andy Serkis. We covered the panel and discussion live, but they also showed some brand new footage from the film that impressed nearly everyone. We've seen an international trailer that looks good, but this footage looked so good that our own Ethan and Brandon met up to recorded a video blog talking about how great this film looks. Watch below!
The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn was originally directed by Steven Spielberg, produced by Peter Jackson with a script co-written by Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish. The cast includes Jamie Bell as Tintin, Andy Serkis as Captain Haddock, Simon Pegg & Nick Frost as Thompson & Thompson, Daniel Craig as the villain Red Rackham, and Toby Jones as Silk. The animated movie, in the works at Weta Digital, will hit US theaters in glorious 3D starting on December 23rd, Christmas weekend, late this year. We featured the first look in December and the first teaser trailer in May. We'll keep you updated on Tintin!

I saw the film here in Italy and it was fantastic! The characters were as realistic as they were in Cameron's Avatar, and the storyline was upbeat and exciting. When is it being released in the US, anyway? Heather of Tintin Action Figures
