One movie coming up this spring that has built a lot of buzz thanks to some awesome trailers is Battle: Los Angeles, the Black Hawk Down-alien-invasion flick starring Aaron Eckhart. A viral for the film kicked off at Comic-Con, but it wasn't much besides a website and posters tied into the 1942 Battle of Los Angeles UFO event. However, our cohorts at MovieViral have been following each and every new reveal in the viral and discovered a major new viral website packed full of content located at unidentifiedenemy.com. Most of it is badass alien imagery and details on their weaponry and technology. Yea, you've got to check this site out.
We've included a few screencaps from the website of the cool photos, but click on either to visit the full site.
This was discovered by typing in the password "031111" on the Interactive Map viral website that kicked off at Comic-Con. Be sure to watch the latest trailer and explore the viral site as we've got a few months to go.
Battle: Los Angeles is directed by South African-born director Jonathan Liebesman, of Darkness Falls, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and The Killing Room previously, but he is really breaking out in a good way with this. The screenplay credit, according to IMDb, goes solely to Christopher Bertolini, of only The General's Daughter and Madso's War previously. Sony / Columbia Pictures will be bringing Battle: Los Angeles to theaters everywhere starting on March 11th this spring! Pretty damn cool viral website, isn't it?

It seems no one has been brave enough to do a franchised alien film since...well...Alien. I hope they don't put all this work into this and not give us more. That would be silly. That being said a lot of the ideas, especially the weapons are hella- similar to D9. Maybe the same artistic director.

The supervising art director is an old friend, Tom Valentine. He's been involved in Spiderman 2, Jumper, A.I., Soldier, Deep Impact. Great to see he's got a good one here. Can't wait.

Sweet site. So interested in this movie. District 9/War of the Worlds meets Private Ryan/Black Hawk Down.
