Last month we learned that the classic paranormal comedy Ghostbusters would be making a triumphant return to theaters this month for three evening screenings over three different weeks in October. Now that the spooktacular month is finally here, we have details on where bustin' will make you feel good. First of all, the special screenings of the Ivan Reitman film starring the likes of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis will only take place on October 13th, 20th and 27th (all Thursdays) starting at 7PM local time. Details on how to find your theater and get tickets below!
Ghostbusters will show in approximately 500 theaters nationwide in 2K digital with 5.1 surround sound, but the release isn't quite as wide as we were hoping. For those who are dying to strap on your proton pack for the screening, head on over to the official Ghostbusters Facebook page to use their special application to locate the closest theater holding the screening and buy tickets. This is truly a great opportunity for those who have yet to experience Ghostbusters on the big screen, and even more important is that the crowds for this release will likely influence how quickly Ghostbusters III gets made. So if there's something strange in your neighborhood, pack up the car and take the family to see Ghostbusters in movie theaters this month.
For those who may tragically be unfamiliar with Ghostbusters, here's the original trailer:

So .. in other words .... its a scam? Nothing different then what you can get from bluray and dvd .... It's just a re-release with nothing to show. ..
