Edgar Wright's Wright Stuff III

He's back! Fan-favorite, famed director Edgar Wright is returning to present a new week-long film festival at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles. Wright is hosting The Wright Stuff III, a fest which kicks off December 9th with Frank Tashlin's The Girl Can’t Help It and Allan Arkush's Get Crazy. If you haven't been following his updates throughout the fall, Wright has been asking to collect a list of the best film he hasn't seen, so he can experience them all in the cinema together with everyone. His final selection includes 18 films over a week showing as double & triple bills at the New Beverly. Find his complete line-up below.

Here we go. "For my next programming stint, why not screen classic or cult movies that I have yet to see and always wanted to see on a big screen," he says. For the full rundown head to Wright's blog post here, where he has ticket links and more. So with the help of his friends like Quentin Tarantino, John Landis, Guillermo Del Toro, Judd Apatow and Joss Whedon and he arranged this slate. Here's the full Wright Stuff III line-up:

Come if you love the movie and want to see it on a big screen for the first time. Come if you haven’t seen the movie and want to pop your cherry with me. And most crucially, come and watch these movies on 35mm while you still can. It could be the last time." This looks like a very fun time and anyone who knows Wright knows he'll deliver some fantastic experiences. I love having the New Beverly in Los Angeles because they serve up incredibly unique, rare experiences like this that you just can't miss. I'll probably be there a few nights, if anyone else is going. For complete screening info, go here.

Wow, I can't believe he's never seen Modern Times.  That's like the first film they show you in film school.  It would be pretty awesome to see it in a theater though as it still makes me chuckle.
