Emma Stone

Between Easy A, The Help and Crazy, Stupid, Love, the lovely and talented Emma Stone has quickly proven that she's a genuine talent who can bring a grounded and charming sensibility to any character she plays. While normally romantic comedies of today are so formulaic and devoid of any real heart, Deadline's report on another film for the genre featuring The Amazing Spider-Man starlet actually gives me some faith that we might get another Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Stone is negotiating to star in the likely tentatively titled He's F**ckin' Perfect, a new script from director Adam McKay's now-former assistant. More below!

Deadline says Lauryn Kahn leaves her job as McKay's assistant tomorrow to start writing script full time after landing $1 million against $1.5 million if the film, her first feature screenplay, actually gets made. With Gary Sanchez Productions, the banner formed by Will Ferrell and McKay backing the project, that certainly doesn't seem like a problem. And honestly, the story is one that I want to see as it follows a social media savvy girl who is pessimistic about love and vets her friends’ dates to find flaws. When that process leads her to uncover the perfect guy, she decides to use her research skills to turn herself into his perfect match.

It sounds generic on paper, but it's the talent involved that gives me faith that it won't be the kind of movie Sarah Jessica Parker would do (I Don't Know How She Does It? More like I could care less how she does it). Plus, hearing that the script leaked after being sent directly to Stone and caused a bidding war between four studios (keep in mind this is for a freshman writer's first spec script), that sounds like there's one hell of a film on those pages. Studios don't pay big money like this for original spec scripts from new writers, so here's hoping whatever goodness convinced studios to snag the script ends up on the screen.

Whatever happened to Isla Fisher or Amy Adams? Weren't they supposed to be the next big reds?

She is funny and has the charm, but Adams was great in The Fighter.

Emma Stone has proven that she is a great actor. I have watched the majority of her movies. I thought that Isla Fisher would have blown up too, but I think she had a kid it has possibly slowed down her success. I just watched Easy A last night on TV in HD. It has been great moving up in the world and seeing how much better TV enjoyment can be. I have an awesome HD package that keeps me happy. I get over 200 channels, the most of any pay-TV provider. This will make any HD TV a top performer. I use my employee service from DISH, to get the most HD.  I had other companies in the past but, couldn’t deliver like DISH. I paid a lot of money expecting great HD but, it didn't deliver. What I like here is that all customers get the HD free for life.  Get some great savings and get TV entertainment all the time. This makes a wonderful gift for the holidays. This gift will keep giving the whole year.
