FIRST LOOK
First Look: Terrence Malick's Next Film Starring Affleck & McAdams

Last December we got a look at the first beautiful trailer for the anticipated film Tree of Life from Terrence Malick, and while the film doesn't hit theaters until May 27th, apparently the reclusive filmmaker already has his next project in the can. While reports have said the film may or may not be called The Burial, that's about the only solid details that have been revealed about his next project. Well, that and the cast includes Ben Affleck & Rachel McAdams, who are featured in the first still from the film revealed today by THR. The cinematic shot features the two leads sharing a romantic moment near a wheatfield. It's quite beautiful.
Here's the first look at Terrence Malick's next film courtesy of THR:
In addition to the featured stars in the first photo, the film will also feature Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men), Olga Kurylenko (Centurion), Rachel Weisz (The Lovely Bones) and Barry Pepper (True Grit). Awhile back The Wrap got their hands on some extensive details on the film's, but with Malick there's always something more than what seems easiest to explain on paper. Otherwise the film is being kept under tight wraps and it's still unclear when we might see the film venture into theaters. Even so, this first photo is gorgeous and has me anxious to see what Malick's next project is all about. How about you?

I'll see it for McAdams and Malick mostly, Affleck is a nice touch, he's really gotten better in the acting area, but I'm mostly seeing it for Malick and McAdams.

It's nice to see Malick pumping out films without 6-20 year gaps in between.

Glad to see that Affleck is working with Malick; perhaps it'll help Affleck not only step up on acting ability, but refine his directorial skills.
