Wanderlust Trailer

"Flick the tip, flick the tip!" Universal has also debuted the official trailer today for Wanderlust, a new comedy directed by David Wain (Role Models) starring Jennifer Aniston & Paul Rudd as a couple who become hippies at a counter-culture community called Elysium. This Apatow Productions film also features Malin Akerman, Justin Theroux, Ray Liotta and Alan Alda. I've heard that Aniston is nude in this quite a bit (hence the R-rating tag), but they don't even hint at that in this trailer at all. Besides that, this doesn't look funny or entertaining in the least, but that's just me. None of the jokes even made me laugh at all. Have fun!

An urbanite couple branches out to live a more "counter-culture" lifestyle at a community called Elysium.

Wanderlust is directed by filmmaker David Wain, of Wet Hot American Summer, The Ten and Role Models previously, as well as TV work on "The State", "Wainy Days" and "Childrens Hospital". The screenplay was co-written by David Wain & Ken Marino, also behind "The State", The Ten and Role Models. Universal will be releasing Wanderlust in theaters everywhere starting on February 4th, 2012 next year. Funny enough?

I think it looks completely hilarious... but maybe that's just me.

Hmm... Bad trailer. One funny moment: "My name is Wayne by the way, I'm a nudist" "Oh yes we noticed your penis earlier"

Love Paul Rudd, love David Wain, like Aniston. But this looks joyless and flat.

What??  This movie looks hilarious.  Paul Rudd isn't the most outlandish comedian out there, but he's the current king of subtle humor and he's going to have great chemistry with Aniston because she's the same kind of actress.  And if she's'll just make it better! The R Kelly joke at the end of this made me laugh out loud, plus I really enjoyed Role Models and thought it looked dumb so I can see this being full of surprise humor.

Caught an advance screening of this a few months back and it is sadly a train wreck of a comedy. Running gags ran into the ground and the talent of Paul Rudd and Alan Alda just wasted, although Alda does get some good laughs.

February is generally a cinematic death sentence. Good luck with that release date.

Love Aniston, Rudd and Theroux. Like all the other actors. Looks really funny! Can't wait to see Aniston and Theroux together.
