Indie Trailer Sunday #2: Gillian Jacobs Co-Stars in Brian Jett's 'Let Go'
A comedy about love, loss and other felonies. How about a double-dose of unique indie trailers to watch today? Newly debuted by The Wrap is an official trailer for the indie dramedy Let Go, written & directed by Brian Jett, and starring an intriguing ensemble cast of comedic actors including the stunning and talented "Community" star Gillian Jacobs, "Traffic Light's" David Denman, comedian Kevin Hart, old-timer Ed Asner, with Simon Helberg, Kali Hawk and Garrett Morris. Denman plays a parole officer and Jacobs one of the eccentric ex-cons he's watching. It looks quite dramatic, and funny in darker ways, but still good.
Follows the intertwining stories of Walter Dishman (Denman), a melancholy parole officer struggling with the doldrums of married life, and three eccentric ex-convicts recently placed under his supervision.
Let Go is both written and directed by first-time filmmaker Brian Jett. The film is premiering at the Austin Film Festival this month, and will be playing at the Savannah and Virginia Film Festivals as well. As far as we know, it doesn't actually have a US distributor yet, so if anyone's interested, we'll keep you updated on any release plans. For more info and updates, visit their official Facebook page. Look good enough to see?

The Big Bang Theory just told Community that sees never felt love then Community tried to rob some asians. Honestly, if I had to pick two people from community that I thought were gonna do a movie together...

Ed Asner's actually never been on Community...I think you're thinking of Richard Erdman.

This trailer suffers from Context syndrome, i.e. it looks like a lot of great scenes have been taken out of context therefore not making it look good, but I'm sure i shall try this out when it gets to DVD

If the only other option is for them to put it into context, i.e. tell the whole story in the trailer, then ten high fives to Brian Jett. Trailers are just supposed to give you an idea of the subject matter and general tone of the film. Its supposed to tease not lift up its skirt in the carpark of pizza hut for the whole world to see
