So far we've just seen a wild teaser trailer for the forthcoming big screen adaptation of the classic board game Battleship with Hancock director Peter Berg at the helm. Now we get to see a bit more from the film in the form of a behind-the-scenes featurette that is unfortunately hosted by the gossip-mongering, bubbly personalities at "Entertainment Tonight." They seem to think pop star Rihanna is unrecognizable as a naval weapons specialist, but it's not exactly a magnificent transformation to have a couple tattoos and wear camouflage. Alexander Sarsgaard and Taylor Kitsch have a chat too so check it out below!
Here's the featurette for Battleship from "Entertainment Tonight":
A fleet of ships is forced to do battle with an advanced armada of unknown origins in order to defeat them.
Battleship is directed by American filmmaker Peter Berg, of Very Bad Things, The Rundown, Friday Night Lights (the movie), The Kingdom and Hancock previously. The screenplay was co-written by brothers Erich Hoeber & Jon Hoeber, of Whiteout, RED and Man on a Ledge. Universal produced this with a budget of over $200 million. Battleship is currently set to sail on May 18th next summer. Visit their official website.

Oscar muscle!?! Seriously? This guy doesn't think this movies got potential... does he? But seriously, Liam Neeson is in every peace of trash goin these days. At that I can't blame the guy, he's got his reasons. Just want to see him in more quality shit

The only conceivable reason to have Rihanna in a film would be for her to get naked at some point. So sign me up for some of that rich Barbadian ass.

This film looks so good, I honestly can't wait. Can't believe they're actually filming it in Pearl Harbour, hasn't that place had enough explosions already?

Well, who the hell knows? Perhaps Rihanna will shock the world by pulling out her brilliance and skilful acting in this film that none of us know she has.

I don't think Rihanna has any "skilful" acting qualities going her way. She is a good singer and a hot piece of ass to look at...that's about it.

Casting Rihanna in this only amps up the cheese factor. Berg is clearly trying to attract the young demographic that never attends movies like this. Despite the slickness of the trailer, I'm not sold on Rihanna at all.
